Will Align DS615 servos work with the servo support pins on the Fury Extreme? The pins that extend from the center of the servo wheel. This machine had Futaba 9252s that the seller removed. Thanks, Dan.

Cool. I still fly my Extreme too.

There are two different kinds of pins:

115-73 Futaba
115-74 JR

One of these sets should work, but I don't know which one.

If I recall correctly, one of the servos that I used didn't work with either pin. I think it was the 9252(?). It has a plastic output gear with a different thread pitch (sheet metal screw) and you would need to cross-thread the pin to get it in... and then it would work great.

I don't know which set will work for the DS615, but if the ones you have don't work (which would be the Futaba ones), try the JR ones.

I fly 9252's in my Furys. Note that in addition to the two different servo supports (JR and Futaba), there are also two different brass servo arm studs (JR and Futaba). Select the correct servo arm stud and there are no issues. The Furys are cut for standard size servo (40mm X 20mm). If your Align servos are this standard size, then a combination of the four different components described above should get you going.

Also note that the servo support setup is to make the control system more rigid. You can certianly fly the Fury without them.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Thanks for the reply's, I have the the DS615s coming from fleybay! I have these servos coming in and would like to know if there are any issues with using them with the Fury Exteme. I want to try a Hobbico Life battery at 6 volts , from Tower hobbies. No extreme 3d stuff here, just sport flying and maybe tictocs. Thanks, Dan.

Hmmm! I have always used futaba screws in my tempest/ extreme helis. I use ds610 and ds615 in all my MA machines without any problems.
