This is my 3rd 130x and still a problem.. it crashes due to stuck tail.. When Im flying, the tail gets stuck, spins so basically don't hold. I have stock tail servo. Is ther way to fix this? I read somewhere that I can get a after market tail servo.. Thanks.

is that a new heli? Oh no honey, its the same one w/different stickers.....

Get the walkera 03-4 servo and a mount for the DS-35 servo. The DS-35 and the wk03-4 are basically the exact same servo only the eflite version has a firmware installed that doesn't work with the 130x. I have this on my tail and it solved the tail problems.. Makes the 130 the heli you wished it was from blade. You can also adjust your tail gain.. Look this up.. There are threads everywhere on it.

A few other things worth noting.. Get a metal tail gearbox .. A good slider, and a metal pitch change arm. Stick with the metal torque shaft, and the plastic gears on the back of the tail. Install the metal sets up front on the main shaft, but be aware that the upgraded metal gear that drives the tail comes close to a MOSFET on the forward servo and could possibly damage it if allowed to rub. Upgrade both main and tail hubs to metal along with blade grips.. Keep the carbon fiber main shaft as it is more crash friendly than a metal one. I also prefer the plastic swashplates because the bearing will just pop out in a crash and absorb most of the impact, and you can pop it back in and keep on flying.

Actually I just bought a DS 35 and mount for mine (not installed yet) on my buddies recommendation. He has the DS35 on his and loves it. Doesn't seem to have any firmware issues.

If he has an older version of the ds35 than it will work just fine, sometime this year they changed the firmware and ever since none have worked.. they just create massive tail wag that you cannot get rid of. I have had 2 of these servos in the last 2 months and i couldn't get either to work, then I bought the walkera and I have had zero issues ever since.

walkera servo

this is the servo mount I use

The walkera mounts on the right when looking down.. (the ds35, which I highly encourage you not to purchase, mounts on the left). You will have to either purchase an adapter for the walkera or simply cut the connector and solder it to your existing connector, which is what I did.

Wow, 12 bucks is a good deal for that servo too... worth a shot for sure. If mine causes probs that is what I will be getting

I run the 130X stock with the exception of the metal bevel gear on the main shaft and a Microheli tail grip set without the Chinese weights as they cause issues of their own, the Microheli pitch slider & bell crank with the Microheli tailbox. One thing that helps that heli a lot is making sure there is a little piece of double back tape on the rear of the RX so it won't move around. Otherwise you will see funny stuff happen in flight.
