When A dude see a gain of 160 percent in flight time over stock form, sure all the mechanical fails, accidental learning curve mistakes, close calls with whom and whatever is in harms way. When every crash due to this electronic and or mechanical failure fewer things are broken. Now it works, and reeeeeeal gooooood.

All the net time reading and replying and posting ideas or questions or just stating one's personal stand, or is that understanding, of the bruddas who enjoy challenging their mind to be able to master heli flight.

This interest in helis began at a very young age, aviation, when I was 5 yrs old. Crafting plane replicas of balsa, reading books on aircraft, dreaming what Howard Hughes was like. One particular time I visited a Science Center with a friend who was able to fly a simulator like the heli on a stick. It twirled around a central pivot point, had a plane prop for rotor, and could pick a block up if you could hover steady enough to hook the block, I could not, he did and beat me at that game, he was superior stock in that respect.

I never believed in all my years I would have an interest in aviation like this cp heli one. Thank the Germans for perfecting all the advances we have today in many respects, I'm of German background and was proud as a youth (not so much now), but mixed with other Euro-ethnic types. We're not the same. I'm not the same and very out of place. I didn't think it would have a profound impact but it did.

I design, build, fabricate, perfect, imagine, many exotic things, helis not excluded, not the least.

You saw the huge hockey helmet I sculpted. Started rough as shyt and four gallons of bondo later, dats what I done. Boss man paints very nice, VOODOOAIR.com.

These days the rc heli has helped me calm down, find a peace with what can be, success at mastering heli flight and progressing to 3d. And faith in a supernatural ability to let the fingers do the flying and not crash, something not everyone wants to do. A heli riding on the ether is very cool indeed.

Things have been shown to me in the area of IP that has taken me to another level with possible manufacture of concepts in rc helis. Sometimes the simplest things can make a huge difference, who'da known, by something as simple as an accident which would have otherwise crashed my heli, crazy cool. But HEY, Aye DON WANNA GIT RIPPED OFF by aliens (or is that Aligns).

That's the year of running after this broken piece and that stripped, bent, cracked, totaled, piece of plastic, cf, or metal that I learned the upgrade left room for improvement. Almost colliding with myself a few times but learning to trust in the power of the sticks. I've done a few noob stupid things.

Was it worth it? When I speak of an improvement of 160 percent, consider, the fastest heli speeds along at 152mph. Let's suppose I improve THAT by 160 percent. Round it to 150 and I project an improvement of 80 plus MILES PER HOUR, wow, shyt brother, DID YOU SEE THAT? whew!!!!!!!

Is that how its going to be? I could not fly a heli at 230mph, and don't know who could except a seasoned trained professional rc heli artist of which I am not entirely.

200mph is my destiny, doable OH YEA BABY, comin to GETCHA.

I'm not after TDR or Hienselit's market in the least. I just know what has been done on a small bird can be grafted into a big bird, I wanna see 200 mph, like the Budweiser offshore cat (or 230 from the Mystic Princess turbine cat) and I know I can make those faster even still (still, pun).

My early teen years was a time when HOT ROD magazine drag race cars were plastered all over my bedroom walls, love'n the USA, it was the wall paper.

HOW FAS? DAS IST FAS AS ACHT DU LIBER MAN

Ahh, what a day dream that was, hehehehe.

keyule

Here's the little burdee from a month or more ago,

(a few mechanical things have been changed to protect the innocent, er, make it go goot)

and here's where it last fly'd on the past weekend, long enough for 100mph (1/4 mile, but my heli's tail wags out bad on launch)

SHe's takin a break from the weekly back yard hover round doo to a stripped main gear. Time to get serious, custom made what is that now. Mo bikes, surfboards, skim, kite, snow, clothing, mountain bikes, hole bunch of other stuff,

cheeze

I um..........I think, well.......just not sure. Perhaps I can ask him next year at the IRCHA Speed Cup.

If the question is, a Year later did I get my moneys worth?
My answer at least would be, A bargain at twice the price......

A bargain at twice the price......
that's an accurate breakdown. Heli set me back lots but every time i rebuilt it it got better and better.

Here's a tree trunk for INTEL I shaped, (15 gallons of bondo later) only the 14ft tall mushroom thing the guy can see himself in, it was at the electronics show in Las Vegas last January,

It's been a rough year in many respects, I suppose had my heli not began as a pos I never would have given much to think about making it better.

ircha or where ever, the speed goal might be more than a couple of years away due to one off machining and testing, r+d. There's time.

It's rewarding when I hear a young lady see the heli and say, "that's so cool" or when a grown man walks through my flight space and asks, "is it gas or electric". Or when there are two girls sitting in middle of my field who don't even so much as look to see what the noise of the toy heli is as it's flying between them and I. The thing is whisper quiet, man that's sweet.

I'm at a crossroads where my front page presence will dwindle, I have tons of various work in progress and can now set a goal to work toward completing them while investing in the future. RC helis are now part of my life and I'm not racing to continually fix what originally was a pos fb align clone.

I should check if the battery I flew the 8mins on was the previously frozen one from the other thread, hmmm, density.

And another thing, it's disturbing to me that these and quads can't be trusted over people, so how bout I make it so no one gets hurt. Like when those ap quads crashed recently. Problem is solved, now how to get it to market.

On the way to your destiny, take a small peek at dissymmetry of lift. You will never reach a goal of 200+ MPH on a single rotor aircraft. A coaxial would be the only way, and that would be some pretty cool one-off type stuff. You may be able to pull it off with a chinook style twin rotor system with opposing rotational direction.. still.. a lot of machining, but probably a little easier to build than the coaxial.

was thinking that, and to put it into a rad looking scale body. Dysemetry schmemetry, a heli with a tip speed of 300mph would drop on the retreating side to 100mph and rise to 500 on the other side.

Can't go into details so,

heli says high,

tee-hee

That's OK : I'll Stand with Him ! Their are so Few Left

At one time they where called the bright one's, Then before THC -the High Brain's, then the gifted one's

Now referred to as the "NEW and Unusually" since too many are not around anymore- they went up a few cultures ago. The Thinker's - they are DAM RARE. At any time they are usually 20 step's ahead and gaining ground.

Like when very young children say the darn-est logical thing's - that blow the average adult away. The adult's think it's funny - Truth is the kid is so stinking smart the adult doesn't grasp what just came out of their mouth -and sluff's it off as humor.

Children grow out of it depending what they are exposed too - some never loose it some turn into carrot's. Can't grasp the thought.

School's now are ware houses - Most now have answer's before they even understand the question. You can observe it when they interrupt conversation's -absolutely clueless of the topic.. Yet have the answer.

The scattered So pump em with Mountain DEW and Aderal or force them to look through a screen door in their youth : " Cricket's in their head's "

Hence the Over whelming population of adults: Drooler's & Mouth Breathers / window licker's . The Huh's /Wha's and Daa's Hearing but never listening.

Lost the Eye's of the HEart The Child Like Innocence.

Most have a second brain they sleep with on their chest to give them answer's. Then we wonder why so many grown adult's are so scattered.

Most now are only driven visually - pictures of food on menu's ect.
Type's of Commercial's on T.V. Talking Lizard's talking Duck's, Expedia so you can be friends with a Turtle, Free Bucket's of Data , or the share any where plan.

P.S.: Nick T. Could of Cared less about $$$ It was the "taker's" that killed him $$$$ Was NEVER a Motivator

It was Nick : That put the Electric motor in the Helicopter
