Hello .I am ready to order the logo600sx kit and want to match it with a pyro700 520kv motor and use a 120hv cc v2 esc with it.So I know the motor will be great, but anyone use a pryo motor and a cc120hv together ??Does the pyro motor do the logo600sx good or should I look else where for a good 3d setup, the motor will b on 12cells.Thanks guys .Erik

Personally, I just don't trust the CC, I'm going with the Heli-Jive & 700-52.

Hi

I think the -52 is too much on 12s.

The -45 would be better.

Paul

I'm certainly no expert, but that is the setup Jan Henseleit recommends for 12S on the TDR.

Hi

The gearing on a TDR is not the same as a Logo600.

Hi Old Hippie

Don't worry. We all started with this game at some stage..... Nitro was easy..... YS or OS.

Regarding electric setup, MrMel's calculator is fantastic.

You can get an iPhone app or just use the online version on the Ready Heli site. It is on the left, towards the bottom.

Paul

The heli jive is -out of my reach right now,so cc 120hv is what will b used.Never had any problems with it,and I think the pyro 700 520 will b a great motor for the logo600sx,but will use a 700mx510 for now. Thanks

The 700 52 on 12 cells is too much on that setup. You will pleasantly surprised with 700 45 on 12 cells. I know I was.

For 12S you'll want to run the 700-45

For 10S the 700-52

Yes the castle 120 will work with the pyro motor. Personally I like the Kontronik jive 80 HV on a logo 600, its money well spent.

Hi

A Kontronik 700-45 and a CC 120 hv is about $580

A Scorpion 4035-450 and a Kontronik 80 hv is about $650.

The BEC in the Kontronik is "the best" and you would still have to buy one for the CC setup. A CC BEC is about $40 and a Western robotics is about $100.......

I would recommend the better ecs rather than the better motor. The price difference is about $30 with the CC BEC. The setup will be lighter and vastly superior.

Paul

Hello
Pwood,You have made very valid points.
I was looking at the heli jive 80hv,its nice-but the bec only goes to 6v and and 5 amp constant current draw with a max of 10amps-and I will need to the prog disk to change it and I am running all hv servos in my vibe e8,witch is why I am using the cc120hvv2 esc,the vibe pulls over 90 amps when I fly it hard during 3d,so I don't think the jive will cut it,even with a heatsink.i know I could add a bec but had a western go south on me and caused a very expensive crash, witch is another reason for the 2 cell lipo system. The electronics from the vibe I have now is what I planned to use in the logo600sx,cant afford to buy them and keep 2 600s flying.I will look into the pyro 450 and run some numbers with the hs calculator to c if it works,i want a little more head room for the v-bar gov then I have now on the vibe, its close to 2300 rpm and with the 510kv motor in it now is given me all it has in terms on speed and power, its been a good motor, just want something with more power for the logo.I plan on running the logo anywhere from 2075 to 2250 hs and with a 12 tooth pinion and a 520kv motor I am right in the ball park. Thanks for the help and happy flying .Erik

Hi

Well, it seems like you have the experience to make a good decision.

The Kontronik esc's do seem to "drive" the motors harder and get a slightly higher rpm, compared to CC.

The only limitation of the Kontronik Jive bec is its only 6.0v. So you have little choice. External bed or 2s lipo..... so my argument falls flat...

hope you get the Logo up and running soon.

I love my logo600. It is the best heli i have had. If i hurt ti, i would drive straight to our LHS, they have a 600SX sitting on the shelf.....

Regards
Paul
