I just made a deal with my buddy to buy his LOGO 600SE so I will now be joining the Mikado Family. Here is the current info that I have from him. Is there anything that I should know about or watch for?

I fly mainly sport / big air / mild 3D so what should I set my headspeed at on this setup? I want to get as much flight time as possible.

Logo 600SE with two canopies
CC Ice V2 120 ESC
Scorpion 5020-450 motor
Futaba BLS451 Cyclic
Futaba BLS251 Tail
Full Blue line Vbar with PRO software
Specktrum Sats
Quick UK links
Quick UK Canopy Lock for one canopy
Edge 693 Main Blades and Edge Tail blades.
Titanium Turnbuckles
2 CHP battery trays.
2 sets of 12s turnigy batteries

Thanks,
Dave

You can experiment with the head speed to suit your style of flying, usually the lower you go the longer you can fly with the right pinion. Try maybe 1700 and see how you like it. Then adjust from there!
Your gonna luv the Logo!

What pinion on that?

Am running a 500kv, 11t on 10s and it flys just your flying style VERY
nicely! And just started trying out a 12s pack that will be going in
another heli, and on a lower throttle setting it was also great w. about
exactly 10m flight. My 10s 4000/4500s are giving me 8-10 minutes absolutely every flight. +10 for the 600se

i'd look at getting the quickUK tail grips or upgrade to the 600SX grips.

*shouldn't* be an issue at the lower headspeeds of 690s. But, I'd be better safe than sorry.

i'd also order the hobbywing phase sensor from Helidirect for $4 and use the vbar gov over the CC's.

for a change of pace, you can throw 623s/95s on and run her up to 2200rpm. it really is a different machine at that headspeed.

if it ain't broke, break it.

The 50 series motor is a little of a tight squeeze to get in. And, the smaller the pinion, the further to the rear the motor sits, and the more the frame narrows to the rear of the motor's space, and thus the need to relieve some of the plastic around the motor cage.

This is really no big deal (don't let it scare you), as many have done it in the past, and is considered "routine" really. You can use either a dremel sanding drum, or a sharp blade to accomplish the task. It has no notable effect of the strength of the frame.

Why all this? Because the Logo 600 frame set was designed far enough in the past when the use of a 50 series motor was never considered to be a possibility. Things have changed

I am not sure what pinion is on it right now. It has been flown by him and he said that it is very smooth and quiet. I am thinking that I should try 1600-1700 rpm and see how I like it. I appreciate all of the information from everyone. I will reply with the pinion size once I find out. And I will also check into the new tail assembly's.

Hey Jiro, yes I got Logo-itis as we discussed previously. I have been looking at the Logo's and also the Senergy and the offer that came from my buddy I could not pass up!! So now I will be buying a second Logo next year to go with the new mini V-Bar and outrage servos that I just purchased. How is the Logo 550SX treating you??

Thanks,
Dave

Sweet heli congratulations. 1600-1800. SX tail upgrades just for piece of mind. I assume it is grounded. 12s 3900 is 7 min landing at 42-48%.

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D.
