I just got this 700 size AS350 dash that is built by Pro-Heli (flying Season Models). Faye did a fantastic job with this piece! The detail is top notch and the animated LCD screens are way too cool! The dash has a 1S lipo on the back side, you charge it through the included USB cable. It turns off automatically after 30 minutes of display time. It also came with the floor section that fits the MC fuse. IMHO this unit is well worth the money spent!

This is going in my marvelcraft 700 size AS350. It's out for paint, but I should have it back soon and I'll install the dash and update the pics in this thread and my build thread for the heli.

Yeah, it looks great when you see the screens moving. It adds a new level of realism to the heli.

Consoles
Looking forward to video.

While on the subject...can anyone link me to plans for making consoles?

I'm working on my first scale...a 600 funkey jet ranger. I can pretty much copy it from photos but would need size references.

Thanks.

Barry:

It does look good, however, watch out as you install it to make sure the main base of the panel (centre console) is not higher than the seats you put in. Just for the example, I also bought the Pro Heli instrument panel and when used with the kit supplied floor, it ends up in the correct height. If you then put a new floor like I did to replace the panel supplied floor, the new floor was in fact a good quarter inch higher. I then trimmed the console down to put the panel in correctly. I see you are going to HSM so even though my AS350 is smaller, you can see the exact example. My new floor is level with the bottom of the door. See you soon.

Don

PS: This is not a post saying that the Pro Heli panel is wrong because as the kit comes from them, it fits perfect. This is just in case you change the floor it sits on.

Very cool Barry! Can you change the time that it stays on past 30sec, also can you turn it on by a open channel? I'm impressed by threes new instrument panels and wish they were available for 1/6 and 1/4 scale. It's hard for me to downsize

Tim and VKGT: thanks guys

Key: thanks for the info. I used the original floor that came with the MC kit and cut new slots to install the dash. So my floor sits a little below the door line. I didn't use Pro-Helis floor section because I had already installed the stock MC floor.

Taylor: The LCD panels stay on for 30 minutes after you turn them on. I have been told that there is a way to turn them on from the radio, but I have yet to find out how. The dash comes with a short section of Mini USB cable and it is turned on/off and the onboard lipo is charged through this port. I know that Faye does build custom dash panels to order, so you might want to send them a PM for a quote. See you at SM!

Thanks for the info Barry! I was so excited I thought you said 30sec rather than min. I will contact them about doing a panel for my new 1/4 scale project. Look forward to seeing you at HSM!!

Hi friends,

How to program the LCD dash.
It is really smart.

"Customer can adjust it by themselves. There are 3 small black swtich on the back of LCD, the middle one is the manual, the right and left are for up and down. It has option to adjust the time."

I choose to program the Lcd dash for 15mn, and I control it by a canal on by T8 Futaba.
Under 2s lipo 450mA, an rc switch and a castel ubec 5v.
