Ryan,

It was truly a great weekend.
Ryan is a first class guy and as you can see an amazing pilot as well.

Ask him about his flying skills with an airplane.

Thanks again Ryan.
I love the 700!

those lead counterweights let loose from the blade tips someone could be punctured. Pull them out, try to fly without them, weigh the lead wire, and consider the outcome at 200mph velocity.

Fun while it lasted, bad example, dangerous, had to say.

Icanfly- you are 100% correct. Not the safest thing ever. I should have put a disclaimer of "don't try this..."

I do take a tiny bit of comfort in knowing these blades have a safety wire that is tied into the lead weight. Having done this before, I am also pretty good at knowing when to stop- leaving enough material so the lead weight is still firmly attached. As you said- if that comes out- it is for all purposes a bullet heading in who knows which direction!

a safety wire that is tied into the lead weight
I'd like to see what that looks like, anything like a fishing lure?

There's a reason they put those in and they may be counter productive rather than only a counter weight.

If there was a blade that did not have the lead but were made in such a way the balance did not require a counter weight you could do that kind of thing all day. If I make em (working on it), you can try a set, gratis.

Can you please send your old baldes to me to check out (and any other broken blades any manufacturer makes that your tossing )

crazy thanks, what timing. pm sent

I do see a little area of improvement on the edge blade, minor but worth considering.

Some dude in the blades forum wants 1400mm's, I could probably make em wnp (with no problem).
