700 Question
Hi,
I am new to Thunder Tiger and have never built one before - many other models, but not thunder tiger.

Was thinking of the new 700. Here is my stupid question.

Is the 700 or the 720 the latest and greatest?

Isn't there a new model on the way - not sure which model # it was.

Thanks,
Jeff

E700 vs e720
The E700 is the newest released model. But it was not intended to replace the e720 or trump it Jon anyway. They are two different birds and have two different niches. The e720 is a great machine with a big presence in the air. It can swing bigger blades such as the Rail 716 or radix 710s.
The e700 on the other hand is a smaller lighter machine able to swing upto a 700mm blade. It is an extremely cost conscious machine with very low prices replacement parts yet keeping with the super high quality that you find in all the TT Helis.
Geometry and functionality is very similar, and both fly extremely well. Just different!

Good luck on your decision, but either way you won't be disappointed!

e700 is the latest and greatest however... It is your daily beat me silly heli. Light weight and cheap parts are its claim to fame.

The e720 is your more boutique heli, more expensive, better quality and higher RTF weight.

SJ summed it up well. The other thing about the 720 is you have yet a few more choices for motors since it will take 45 mm size motors. It can even be stretched to an 800 with the addition of parts from the E820. You can pretty much configure a E720 any way you could possible imagine.

E700 is a very nice model as well. These are win-win decisions. It kinda depends on what you are looking for in your model. If you need to pm me, I can help you figure out which model is the best fit for you. I did this at IRCHA as well for at least once customer.

One thing I can tell you for certain. Before coming to TT, I had already flown some of the finest models that money could buy. The new Raptors have not disappointed me in my requirements for high quality and reliability at a very doable price point.

Ben,

What have you heard on the availability of the E700 kit? I gather the parts are already available.

First small shipment came and went at IRCHA. Next shipment is sold out to the various dealers who have them on order. See who among the usual suspects has one still left to sell from their expected batch. The batch after that should get us better caught up with demand, but order as soon as you can because demand has well exceeded even our optimistic expectations.

The model is well worth the modest wait. There really isn't another model out there with this price point for kit AND spares which has this level of performance derived from really sound, well substantiated engineering.

Thanks Guys - since I have another high-end 700, I'm going to get a 700.

I like that it's proven design, price and quality associated.

Thanks for your responses,
Jeff
