I have those as cyclic servos on my Evo .50 and Titan X50. While they are definitely strong enough, the question is are they fast enough? At 4.8v they are .17 sec. and at 6v they are .14 sec. In comparison a futaba s9254 tail servo is .06 at 4.8v.

Align ds620 is a graet tail servo also. It is the servo speed that you need to pay attention to when selcting one for the tail.

Hope this helps

i'm sure it wouldn't hurt. However the gyro is putting out alot of commands to the servo to keep that tail where you point it. I think the heli would feel and act better with a faster servo. Now I'm curious as to what it would be like.

Also, if I remember right I had to select a frame rate in my gy701 on the Evo for the tail servo. Hmmm...

FYI
I would not use 5625 on tail, its deadband is too much even for a cyclic servos where I had tried them.
And even in cyclic they allow too much drift.

I'd opt for a different tail servo, too."Spinning Props Are Dangerous'

I've flown with much worse. Even if you were attempting some sloppy 3D it would be fine, but you definitely won't get the same snappy control you might be used to with better/faster servos.

As to deadband, that's kind of a user's preference thing to me. I can definitely feel when it's bad but I don't let it stop me from flying around it. If you've got the inclination to try I don't think it'll hurt anything.

This servo is even a couple of bucks cheaper but works great.

I have flown worse such as a Hitec 525 on the tail and had it worked well for me. You could try it and just see how it turns out. I still fly a Hitec 6965 on the tail of my 700 doing tail first loops. My one suggestion on the Hitec servos is to run them at a bit higher voltage. I run them off straight LiFe even on the tail and throttle.
