Tail pitch slider broke!

2nd flight of a brand spank'n new nx4, the tail pitch slider broke. The brass sleeve split right at the yoke. This is my first Gaui; so is this a common issue or my bad luck!? Is anyone using an alternative slider?I told my parents I wanted to be a pilot when I grew up, they said I can't do both!

Common issue and Gaui has turned a blind eye. Did you read any of the treads about it, you may want to chage it out to another brand.Blade3d

Yes this was a problem. But GAUI has since fixed the issue.

JCZankl also helped me out with a replacement pitch slider for my NX4, no questions asked.

My NX4 flies excellent. Its been 6 months since I finished my NX4 and the replacement pitch slider works flawlessly.

Just ordered my kit this morning.
Is there a way to know in advance of building it if it has the slider issue? Serial number or something like that?

Wayne the slider issue has been fixed for a good 6-8 months now. You shouldn't have any issue.

pitch slider failure

Well i finaly had the dreaded pitch slider failure. Happened at top off a high speed stall turn. Dont ask me how because i dont know but from 100 feet managed a succrsfull if hard landing has there been an upgrade if so can anyone supply part no. Will have to order in as the nz stockist still has original part only . Dont want to risk it if theres a better option ,only have so much luck to go round.

There was never an up grade you need try a whole new tail from another brand ,, try the Raptor brand that will work .Blade3d

I have 150ish flights on my Gaui NX4.. Had to replace a busted clutch after 90 flights or so, new dampeners and skids from hard landings (Clutch and Dampeners I caulk up to wearable parts).

Other than those few things, It's possibly my favorite heli to fly out of the six I own..

just fitted the upgrade tail and am very happy with the way it works a lot smoother than the original and no misalignment at extremes putting pressure on the slider like the original. i would hoghly recomend this upgrade for both existing helis and new builds
