i think i leveled the swash plate incorrectly

i think i should have adjusted self level aileron and elevator until the swashplate was level and the servos were 90ed mid stick.

since my swashplate was level at mid stick anyway

?

So you thin maybe you have to do swashplate levening twice? Once for intial setup, then again for the self leveling? Being thats a diffrant menu?

Sounds very logical. Nice unit, never hurts to have that function.

i heard a people would enable self level then go out and test it
the swash was not leveled before flight and the crashed

so sitting down i started thinking i said to myself i wonder if
my swashplate would level if i enabled it on the bench.

i enabled the function and to my surprise my swash was not level

so i decided to make a video about it to help save someone else
from a disaster.

after watching my video i noticed when i leveled the swash my servo was not 90.

i checked it this morning when i enable self level it levels and a little pitch has been added.

pretty kewl.

If you get several in a row test on the bench to show same leveling should be good to go. I'd also try holding it inverted, and maybe nose down, and enable self leveling, it should go to negitive pitch, and add some back elevator or either left, or right ail some combination to show it's trying to roll itself back to level flight. Id try some other simular test to verify it's doing what it supposed to do.

It takes alot of work back-in forth adjusting everything. I don't think you should try and take off with auto level on. Might go nuts. First I'd try and get it in a 90° angle, or dive, then flip on "auto" if that go's well. I'd put it in a good inverted hover about 200' up and then auto-level and see what it does.

i have self level programmed on my flight mode switch normal mode
bank 1 and bank 2 are on idle 1 and 2 and i have the castle auto bailout programmed as well

so i'd have to land in idle up then switch to normal mode throttle shut off

or throttle hold landing then from idle up to normal
shut off
just hope i don't turn off throttle hold while in idle up auto bailout might pop me lol
i can go from normal mode spool up to idle 1 at mid stick to take off
id rather take off and land in normal mode to less complicate things lol geez.

but i'll test her and see hope it works for landings and tale offs lol
thanks for your time and great advice

You sure as heck don't want the motor to die when you flip on auto bail out, or it's just gonna fall out of the sky.
