What is your E5 headspeed?
Set up is
6S 5300
1900-2100
12T pinion
CC ICE 100
556 blades
I get 4:30 and land with 20-30%. The tail will blow out at all of these head speeds 1900 is much easier. I am going to switch to a Jive 120 and try 2300 but worry about flight times. Other options 7s, 13 or 14T pinion, new tail gear or bigger tail blades. I would like to hear what others are doing.I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D.

1900-2100 is unusually low headspeed for a 556 configuration. It's no surprise the tail doesn't perform well with stock gearing. What kv motor are you running?

I'm running mine as a 606 at 2250rpm.Team Synergy / Rail Blades / Morgan Fuel

You may want to switch to an ice 120, I have my two headspeeds set at 2200,2400...at 2400 I fly for 3:30 and love it. I want to say I have a 14t pinion, but I cant remember exactly. When I get home I can check.

This is as a 550 on 6s.

I'm running mine with 6S at 2450rpm on Rail 556 blades. I get 4:00 flights with 4400mAh 30C batteries.Rodney

Ok good to know. I am going to switch to the Jive 120 and start with 2300 and see what flight time I will get. 3:30 to 4:00 is what I was thinking that kind of stinks but I sure it will be a beast at that.I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D.

I've got the pretty standard configuration here:

6S 4400 packs
ICE 120 HV
Scorpion 4025-1100 motor
12 tooth pinion
2200 head speed governed by the ESC.

2400-2550 new head speed range. Tail is much more locked in I am down to 4 min with 25-30 percent at 2400. I might still try the high speed tail gear. Thanks for the input guys,I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D.

Planning on getting a E5 and run it on 6 cells is the Scorpion 4025-1100 motor the most popular ?

Correct, I run this motor in my E5, and its a missile.

Depending what pinion you run, you can get decent flight time, or crazy power! Its versatile, which makes it an excellent choice.
