And what do you do with a golf cart at night or whenever you go back to your room?

You take the key and lock it up at your flying station! I am not sure if they provide the cable lock, but I bet they do. You can ask Darrin or Dennis.

Have fun while it last!

Yes they supply a cable and padlock with every rental. They will rent on a daily basis too but act fast they rent the carts out very quick. Wouldn't be a bad idea to reserve as soon as possible. Last year I waited until the week before and they were all gone. I ended up
getting one the day I arrived but it was a big ole 6 seater with no top. It was better than walking but really missed the top.

I kept trying to reserve one four months out and got the reply they were not taking reservation yet. I forgot and a month before asked and they were all booked! now I am pissed to find they had rentals a week before!

This year I sent them a email about what I went through and guess what? I have not received a reply.

Me and my wife had to walk everywhere and let me tell you it sucked!! I had to fly at the scale area and one of our club members let us use his cart.

Have fun while it last!

I think it was around 275 for the 3 days I had it. Yeah they actually had a few the day I arrived as somebody or somebodies backed out. But they were the big six seaters not really what I wanted but way better than walking.

The rental agency for golf carts is salopek. They usually put a link up on the IRCHA site around April so for reservations. The ONLY way to guarantee you will have a cart is to reserve in advance. They only have so many to rent out and brink very few for 'walk ups'. I believe the number last year was close to 300. A cable and lock is provided so at night, just pull it under your EZ UP and lock it up. It will be there in the morning. Just make sure you take the keys with you.

I decided a few years ago to buy my own golf cart. Many benefits realized, like finding your cart in a sea of identical rentals, access to cart four days before rentals arrive, trailer hitch, and most importantly, no answering I anyone. Oh yeah, it is twice as fast, too.

Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

I could buy several helis for the price of a golf cart and trailer, that I would only use 4 days a year. Besides I don't want it sitting around in the way all the time, and for the price of a storage unit to keep it...I could buy more helis...I'll stick to a rental thanks!

If I had a trailer I could borrow my Fathers. It's candy apple red with regenerative braking, but that is the issue! it's electric. I would have to have it plugged in to my generator when not using it. Just seems like more of a hassle. Although if it can go all day for golf and still drive my dad home from the 19th hole it should have no problem four days at IRCHA.

Have fun while it last!

I don't think that means Salopek has left anywhere. Their headquarters is in Ohio, and they regularly go to events all across the country. They haven't even started taking reservations for IRCHA yet, too far out on their calendar. I would watch for an announcement here from IRCHA and/or on their website as to when you can make a reservation, highly recommended.
