Well..................

It flowed!!! 2 trim flights, and changing settings in the 7200BX, and then it was my turn. Taylor give me the heads up on getting it airborn and then setting it up for landing. I can say that it is COMPLETELY different than flying a flybar'd machine!! I like it!! We have all the settings in the 7200BX slowed completely down, and added a touch of expo. I'm sure that once I get a good feeling for the machine, I will take out some of the expo on the cyclic.

I do have 1 thing to change, and that is the tail servo. To get it flying, I popped in a SC1267SG on the tail. Taylor wasn't too thrilled about it, but he worked the 7200 and got the 1267 to hold rather well, outside of FFF. I found that out, first hand on #2 flight. About 3 minutes in, making a right hand turn, tail started to bounce around pretty bad. I got it all settled down and pulled THOLD and set it in an auto. This auto was the first one I have stuck real good in a long time!

So, I ordered a Futaba BLS256HV for the tail. So, I put 3 nice flights on it! There will be video of me actually flying it. Don't get all upset since it isn't doing all this flipping and flopping around. I'm a smooth pilot, and I really don't want to get into 3D with a heli. I'll keep that for my 40%'s!!! Would the Savox 1267 be fine for the type of flying I want to do?? Sure would!! But Between the 3 of us now, dad included, we all concurred that a faster servo would be best.

Big thanks to Taylor Myers!!!! I'm happy, happy, happy!!!!

PS- I have a 5 minute timer set on my radio, and I think I'm somewhere around the 1800mAh from full.......... Magnum Energy 35C 5200's, Glacier 35C 5300's and 45C 5000's. So, I think I'm gonna fly more tomorrow, and get some more time on it and keep checking capacity draw.

Thanks dood!! I can't wait to get more time on it!! I forgot to mention, but I heard in the peanut gallery something about a loop. Pulled off a nice round loop!! Taylor warned me about the differences in nitro and electric power. He said that nitro has a tendency to sag in a pull, to where as electric remains constant. Holy shizzle!!! He was right!!!!

I wanted to roll it, but it will have to wait.

The little things about heli flying are slowly coming back to me!!

BTW-, checked the last pack I flew. Flew almost 5 minutes, and spent 37% of the pack!!! It was an easy flight.

Good deal... One thing though... I don't think I'd add expo on the transmitter with an AR7200BX. I'd slow down center response via tuning. Some folks say it's okay to add a little expo, but unless things have changed greatly with BeastX technology, expo is not recommended.

Food for thought, but congratulations on getting the helicopter going an on your maiden!

Once I get the feel of it, I'm sure the expo will come out. I haven't even looked at the radio programming, let alone the ESC programming. Like I said before, everything is slowed down in the 7200BX, and it was still real twitchy. 3 flights and I'm still getting used to it.

Didn't get out and fly today.......... Decided a day of R&R was better. I don't get R&R all that often!

Glad to hear Taylor was able to get you up in the air Chris. Taylors a good guy and wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the heli as things progress!

Cant say enough good about Taylor!!!! He offered to help me get it set up and flying. I didnt expect him to do it all, himself. But I do understand why he did it that way. He is like I am with airplanes. I'd rather do it myself, and know it is set up to the best of its ability!

So far I really like it!!! I'm glad I bought that other one for $400. I can see me doing something stupid with this one. I just keep telling myself, basic aerobatics!!! It is what I'm comfortable with.

Very cool! Two Rushes! Outstanding! I would assume the one you bought for $400.00 is used and assembled. If that's the case, make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure every screw is thread locked with the proper thread locker, that the tail is smooth and that nothing is broken or bent.

Congratulations!

I'm debating on giving that one to dad........... He said something about possibly getting a FBL.

But yes, I will go over it with a really fine tooth comb!!

It was assembled, but I don't think it was flown. Even better!

Got conformation that my servo showed up in Columbus today. So, I might be able to pick it up tomorrow!! WOOHOO!!!!

Anyways, I went to the Dayton heli fly-in today. Met Scott, team manager for ALeeS. Good dude!!! Just wish we could have flown together. Ahhh, there will be other fly ins, it's all good!!

Got 5 flights in on the Rush, and I'm getting more comfy with it!! So comfy with it, that I took out all the expo I had in it, which was only 10%. So much fun, that I want to try to fly again tomorrow!
