Blade Helicopters makes screw kits for the mCX micro heli. I ordered well over 40 packages of them to get enough to do my 500 and any other work on my other helicopters. There are five different sizes of screws and there are some small white plastic washers in each pack. Go down to the LHS and get this part number EFLH2225. Rather than order hundreds to see if they are right, for a couple of bucks you can get a small amount to try out in various locations on the helicopter. They work great for actually holding panels in place rather than gluing them and it gives more access points for things like me TOW missile sight housing to access a future camera position. Take care.

Butch, I ordered a set of these hinges

http://www.scaleflying.com/Movable-...et-_p_2976.html

it comes with 100 screws, the screw driver and two drill bits. Its a little pricey but it is high quality stuff. I am not sure what size the screws are but they are tiny. I used the screws on my windows on the AS350 and they look pretty good. still a little big for the 600 size but might be just right for yours. The hinges work really well too.

UIH,

The Blow Hole is just about ready for hover. This looks to be the final configuration. I want to do some long duration bench runs today at full power then look at some squiggly lines on some graph thing to see how things are.

The heli is 23.2 lbs with blades, no doors, but with batteries installed. Batts are 4 ea Pulse 5000mah 65C and 1 ea Pulse 3600mah 7.4v RX pack. The heli hangs perfectly level as it configured with all weight useful.

We will see how it goes.

UIH,

After checking weather for the weekend I don't think a maiden will happen. Tomorrow 32 and breezy 15 to 20. Saturday Snow 2-4 w 5 to 15 wind Sun 15 to 20. Little too cold and windy for a maiden for me.

Butch, this looks great! Good luck with the maiden. Who makes the step pockets in the side of the heli? I could use some of those.

just watched the run up video, sounds good but I couldn't tell if your mechs are using a clutched system. ive always been fascinated by vario's notar mechs and have never had a close look at exactly how things work. maybe next time you pull things out you can share some pics.
again I am just watching your amazing builds come together and it feels especially good to know that god's willing, I will get to see it fly in person.

The spool up vid looked good. It'll look even better when the blades are on and the added weight of the disc gives you a nice slow spool up.
