Sorry, Flystupid,

I am sorry you feel this way but you told an untruth about what happened with your friend. The product was damaged to no fault of Mikado or Miakdo UAS, in fact it was burned so a "warranty" situation is not indicated.
Secondly, you said we told him to "pound sand" and that also is not true as we offered a discount on a new unit when we are not obligated to do so in any way. Maybe your friend got the facts confused or you just made your own story up, but the facts remain the same, you misrepresented what actually happened to bolster your claim.

As far as you walking into MikadoUSA and being treated badly, in your pm you stated that you talked to a guy with a German accent...NONE of out staff is German or has a German accent. So that means you walked into the Mikado Germany tent and asked for parts which they did not have for sale.
Once again you misrepresented what happened and if you are able to come to OHB this year, we will be there as well and we wi be happy to show you the advantages of owning a true Mikado product. If not, we can meet at any FF we will attend or worst case IRCHA next year.

Now as far as the KBAR working as well as the VBAR, that simply is not true. It runs on old (stolen) software (5.0-5.2) and cannot be upgraded. It also does not have the benefit of support so you can choose to buy that product if you like, your choice but please do not come on a forum and tell untruths about Mikado USA's support and staff......Ron

no sir you are incorrect it runs the latest 5.3 mikado software.

no your right you didnt tell jim to actually "Go pound sand"
however your stand on not fixing the issue other than to offer a minimal discount for another vbar to him as well as myself is an insult to folks that used to be very pro Vbar.

All i can say is Mikado needs to take a lesson from Castle when it comes to customer service, as for german or american tent perhaps if the german pilots cant speak english very well and tend to be jerks when confronted by the public then they shouldnt interact with the customers.

Standing on fixing an issue is ALWAYS paramount when you have a warranty issue. We do that whenever the case arises.
Why is it so hard for you to understand that this was simply NOT a warranty issue...the internals were destroyed by a misconnection...not a warranty issue.
You continually point to your Castle ESC that failed. They were able to CONCLUSIVELY determine the fault WAS a warranty issue, they took care of it....kudos to them. We were able to CONCLUSIVELY determine that circuit was damaged from a misconnection (as power is applied form the OUTSIDE) so it is not a warranty issue.
At that point the customer could be out a unit but we CHOSE to offer a discount on a new unit (which was offering him a discount the same as on of our sea days so there would be NO TIME he could buy a VBAR cheaper).
I am sure if you went to Germany and talk to them the way you wrote here, I am sure there would be a miscommunication and you would be perceived as the rude one as well. Simply asking a follow up question would have solved this issue for you.
It is plain to see that you are here to promote the K-BAR and that was your whole intention for starting a post. That is fine, MikadoUSA has a great reputation and you and your misinformation is not join got change that. Happy Flying!.......Ron

no Ron im not here to promote the Kbar, the post wasnt started by me it was started to see if anyone had tried the Kbar. I do not personaly like to purchase chinese knockoffs of anything. however that being said i do have kbars and vbar as well

i have a Vbar that i use on my trex 700 which i purchased from Gaui which as i understant is a licenced reseller for Mikado.

as for pluging into the vbar wrong i guess i dont understand this?
the case is plactic so how can touching the plastic case with the cable cause problems? im not asking this to be an ass im asking so i dont make the same mistake.

if that is the case and the vbar unit was fried do to customer error and knowing that the units now only cost a fraction of the MSRP price dont you think it would be better for Mikado to offer either a free one time replacement or only charge say $50.00? and keep a vbar customer?

Do i think that kbar stole there design and software from Mikado?
yes i sure do however that being said i believe that mikado is partialy responseably.

i tried to talk with you about this in PM to keep it out of the public eye but you posted it straight up.

now as for german vs US tents at events we had no idea that there was a differance perhaps an oversite on our part. we wernt rude in anyway toward them we just asked if they could sell us a part and they said know and were rude. One would think that if there was both German and US tents then they should of directed us to the US tent where all our questions could have been answered.

now i am very interested in knowing why the Vbar is a far supperior product over the kbar such as it is other than cost? so could you please explane this to me either here or PM if you like.

Posted in Pms??? You were the one who opened this issue. I felt compelled to tell the truth to be told so that people got the whole truth not one side from a guy who is representing his "friend".

If you follow the directions in the VBAR manual, you will never make that mistake however I guess when you got that stolen software they didn't provide an manual for it as well :roll eyes:

This is the last time I will post on this subject. Mikado USA has a great reputation, the makers of K-Bar, do not. The offer for your friend is still on the table, it always will be......Ron

I guess I have to break my last post rule:
here is my 2 cents worth. i have one vbar and 2 Kbars. the reason i went to kbar wasnt price but because Mikado is a company that is very crappy at best on customer service.
I said:
