Guys,

I have misplaced my normal cable that I use to connect my fullsize VBar silverline to the PC.

I tried using the cable that comes with my mini Vbar to the PC and it wont connect.

Is this normal? The way Im thinking right now is that the cable for the Mini Vbar is configured differently so that the Vstabi program can differentiate what kind of Vbar is being plugged into the PC...

Am I right?

And also I'm going to need a new cable for my fullsize Vbar now.... Is the fullsize Vbar cable pretty standard....in other words can I just go to a computer shop and get a new cable with the same size adapter on the end and it should work? Or is it a special cable made by Mikado that I have to order from a heli shop???

Thanks!

Cheers, Will.

A cable is a cable, you sure your plug is good? Are you using the angled Mini cable??? I have one cable for all my VBAR jells, they all work with it.

ok.....well i'll buy a new cable and see.

the only thing is I have the motor unplugged from my Kontronik 160 as I was setting up the HPS head having removed the DFC head.

would that make a difference as to why the VBAR wont link up??

Cheers, Will.

If you disconnected the sensor, have a bad cable, software issues, or do not have power it will not link up. Those should be the only other reasons.

Had a guy at our field this weekend who could connect to his Mini-V but not a new full size V-bar with the same computer. Turned out to be a driver issue. Once the correct driver was loaded up it worked correctly for both the Mini and the full size.

BTW, there's nothing special about the cable.
