CASTLE CREATIONS EDGE 100 GOVERNER QUESTION
Hi All

Am trying to get my head round this, my gear ratio is 10:1, my motor is a scorpion 730KV..

In normal flight mode no Governor i am getting around 1750/1800.

But when i select Gov Low/High it robs me of 400rpm, i am getting 1280/1300.

Is it normal for these Governors to work within such a large window of RPM ?

I am after 1500 for a scale setup, but in the programming this head speed is too fast for Gov Mode.

Many thanks

Matt

Your numbers seem to imply you are using 6S? I would recommend you use the "Set rpm" gov mode. If you set it to 1500 rpm and it goes red, ignore that. It is telling you there is not sufficient headroom for good governor performance. But you don't need much headroom for scale flight. Set it that way and try it. I routinely ignore the yel/red headroom warning and watch how the gov is actually performing via the data logs.Dr.Don

Many thanks Dr Don,

Yes I am running a 6s setup
Followed your advice and it is locked at 1500rpm in all flight modes.

Many thanks
