V1 I had so high I couldn't see it's direction. Pulled off a blade stop.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

Same here
Typically you will get out of visual range before you lose radio.

I would recommend re-bind and see if it helps.

If the problem persists, give Horizon a call.

I haven't seen a range issue with any of the ones that we are flying. What radio are you flying?

I have not had a range issue.

It's a small heli. I have had visual issues,(loss of orientation due to size), but not range issues.

What kind of range are you talking about?

Radio is JR DSX9II its hard to judge range on such a small heli but I guess 25 yards or so.
I'll try the rebind and see what happens

That should not be happening at 25 yards. I fly mine out to 50 yards or more on a regular basis.

My nano kinda does that from a broken antenna. Usualy with low battery, like 3 min in. Before the ant. broke it would be way out of site before it lost connection.

It's a red wire, fastened to the circuit board at one end and the loose end is usually wrapped around the nearest canopy mount post.

Sorry bear but i couldnt get the darn pic in the right place to post. I did get a good look at it though. If you look at the main board with the servo links up, its in the lower left corner.

OK, here it is. The antenna is the red wire connected at the bottom left of the board and the end wrapped around the canopy mounting post.
