Hello all...
What I have here is something you won't find everyday. I have a JR Sylphide 90 Built to Scott Gray's specs and test flown by Scott Gray so it includes items only that makes it a bit more special, because they are no longer available. In fact, if you look at the picture's on Scott's equipment page, it appears to be his '09 sylphide. With very few exceptions, they are exact. (see my most recent post regarding this heli) http://scottgrayrc.com/sylphide2009.html
Here are the specs...
First, and foremost, You'll need a JR12x, (of which I can supply Some of the radio settings, other's I haven't completely figured out) or probably a DX18. Unless, of course you swapped it over to futaba...
Sylphide 90 with a Super Gracy fuse (When I bought it, U-neak would charge me $100 to change pilot name and AMA #, but that could have changed) You'll need to contact them about a possible change..
OS Max HZ 90 with viper head (dual glow plug) and Scott's regulator (his design?) and Funtech pipe, which is supposed to be a perfect match for this motor...
JR DS8311 Cyclic, Carb, & Throttle, DS 8900G tail.
JR G7000T gyro.
JR 1221 Rx
Revmax
SG Reactor X2 voltage regulator.
Rotor tech F3C720SG mains, F3C paddles, and tail blades.
The carb is adjustable from the Tx.
There is also a switchglod

I'm selling this simply because it is way too much heli for me... I'm terrified to fly it, fearing I'm going to crash... And, most of you know, you cannot fly and think about crashing. if you are unfamiliar with this heli... I'll do my best to explain things. But, you'll also find out a good deal of info by checking out the page I listed above...
Also, I would prefer local pickup.. Or, I should be going to IRCHA this year, I would be willing to bring it there, and meet up... But, I'll have to charge for shipping, whatever the actual shipping charge may be from 48382 Commerce Twp, MI (if you want to try to guess).
Other than that, I'm asking See my recent post regarding this, new price is $3500.

Thanks,
Joe_Breezy

Too bad I'll never get close to what I paid for it... Considering this was Scott gray's back up machine, You're getting one well built heli.. and I didn't mess with any of the build. I'm only selling it because this is waaaaaaay too much heli for me.

Just a note... when I originally bought this.. U-neak was going to charge me $100 to change the AMA# and Pilot name... I don't know if the cost is the same... but, I would contact them to find out exactly the cost... assuming the buyer even cares...

thanks
Joe

Wow.. I thought there'd be more interest in this heli... Considering A. it's a Sylphide, B. It was built, owned, and flown by Scott Gray... This is a really nice, really well built heli.

I need to add, and I"ll edit it, if I can... But, the "BIG DISCOUNT" for pick up on this one, is almost gone... There is a little wiggle room for pick up...

And, I need to clarify, shipping is NOT included with this heli... I should be going to IRCHA, and this is the ONLY heli I'm willing to bring with me for pick up at IRCHA. Shipping costs are high, over $100 high, and need two boxes, one for fuse, and one for heli... So, as you can imagine, I'd rather bring it to IRCHA... or, of course Local pick up is great too...
Thanks for looking!
Joe

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind words.
I said 2 boxes cause that's how it was shipped to me. But with a big enough box, might be able to do it. Although I do have one interested person, but if he buys it, we will swap at IRCHA. One of the few exceptions, just cause I'd rather NOT take it apart. <grin>

I have learned something new about this heli...
It was never owned by Scott Gray... but, was built to his specs. This person i bought this from is good friends with Scott, So when the heli was being built, Scott sent the builder his own detailed build manual. many of the items that make this heli what it is, are no longer available... things like the

K&S Sprague Autohub (this is no longer made and this is a KEY part)
K&S FAI Muffler (no longer made, super quiet and powerful)
JR ASG 90 Rotohead (with special dampening and spindle tube)
OS 91 HZ motor with Scott Gray modified Cline regulator
Upgraded fan & shroud for better cooling

So, because of this, I am probably going to keep it... But, if you are really interested in buying it, I'm raising the price to $3500... From what I've been told, this is nearly a $8,000 heli... So, I'm leaning towards keeping it... and just learning to fly it...

thanks,
Joe_Breezy

I raised the price because I had intended on keeping it.... But, everyone has their price... But, I figured if someone "really" wanted it, they might be willing to pay that price...

I hopefully have a buyer, who made an offer.... Well, let's just say he knows an a great deal about contest machines...

So, this could be sold...

But, I appreciate the input... Honestly, I do. If I were still actively selling this heli... I would probably lowered the price to something more reasonable.
