Let me start off by saying that I don't normally rant or rave over products, either professionally or in my hobby, but I finally found one that lived up to my expectations and was as it was advertised. This is also my first time posting a review or log like this.

Some of the key features of this heli that attracted me are- (some of these aren't well advertised)
- GIGANTIC main gear and overall drive train
- Motor Counterbearing included in the kit
- Adjustable pinion lash with set screw type assembly (see photos below)
- HUGE, METAL tail drive gears
- Beefy overall tail assembly
- Very open chassis for easy CG adjustments with batteries
- Georgeous canopy with cooling holes cut for ESC, batteries
- Magnetic canopy closure at rear molded into the canopy (see photos below)

I also want to say that I have built a bunch of heli's from 250's to 700's from most of the major manufacturers and some from not so major manufacturers. Some have been easy to build, others have been, shall we say a challenge. The Epic MD7 was an absolute pleasure to build. At no time during the build did I have to get out a drill, file, sandpaper, nothing. No tools other than what was required per the manual.

The quality of the material in the kit was superb. The carbon fiber sheet parts were beautifully cut without sharp edges or chips. None of the plastic pieces (there were only a few- gears, horns, links) had any mold spru or flash. The aluminum pieces were all polished well and none had any nicks, scratches, or burrs. The factory assembled parts made what could be a challenging task much simpler, just quickly disassemble, lube, locktite and reassemble.

Each step in the assembly was easily identified and the parts were separated into clearly labeled bags and the hardware was separated into a smaller bag as well. Sizes of the hardware was to scale in the manual, making identification simple.

Below is a photolog of my build... I spent less than 5 hours building the heli over 4 nights not counting electronics installation. Layout of electronics appears to be simple with plenty of room for the biggest of components. Servo installation can happen after assembly unlike some other heli's.

Thanks for reading and if you have any questions or would like to see any detailed photos of parts of the heli, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks- Brian P.

is it just the photos or are those turnbuckles on the dfc links looking pretty small? And What do they use for dampners?

Yes, must just be the photos because the links and turnbuckles are extremely robust.

Dampners are a 2 piece hard/soft combo.
