my target RPM it´s 1500, the same RPM the heli it´s happy with an OS 70 nitro. I think it has enuf headroom above 1500rpm

but I`ll have to consider in the 560 one too

If you wanted to only target 1500 gov'd hs (~1600 max)you might want to consider the 500kv version. Slightly better eff, hence longer runtimes going to lower kv motors (for the same gov'd hs).

So, to me it sounds like either the 500kv or 530kv versions would both be good choices. If I had to pick, I'd probably go with your initial choice = 530kv since it still gives you the option to push the hs's up a bit later if you want to (and your heli is capable of it).

I'm glad to see the guys who can do the number crunching for electrics take a look at this combo.

I have never tached the head or tailrotor to figure out what rotor speed is really being generated. It's not the slowest I've seen get airborne but its far from the 3d head speeds .

The only time the motor even tried to get warm on 6s is when I pushed it all the way to an extended hover after the 12 minute mark draining the batteries to the point it could'nt hover anymore.
Even then the batteries were only slightly warm and the motor just slightly warmer than that. The esc is warm but not hot to the touch.

The heat generated by all the components on the x-cell is still way cooler the hk 600 clone with same esc, 4000mah nanotecs and the stock 1650kv align motor. (which has a slightly higher head speed)

Since I'm in slow forward flight most of the time doing figure 8s, orbits,approaches for landing, and banana passes(photo passes) 6s and the rimfire 120 is doing the job for me..but that's me.

The number of motor kv/ battery/esc/ gearing/ main blade selection combos is endless, you could drive yourself crazy looking for or tring to calculate out ....the "perfect setup"...

I simply went with what I had laying around in the shop at the time..it worked out.

Do what makes you.....happy

Prop adapter
any one have a part number for a prop adapter? I have a HK 4035-500 with a 6mm out put shaft for a stock X-cell bent frame.

Ok got the prop adapter e-Flite EFLM1936L 6 mm with the collets from the motor mount the adapter is not long enought to use a bolt to secure. I will have to tap new threads in the combined tapered collet and nut.

I tried to match the threads on the prop adapter but no luck

Anyone got any suggestions on thread size?

I was going to go with the RimFire 1.20 but after figuring out some math on that motor! There is no way the X-Cell would fly like it should and how I want it too. So Im going to step up a Scorpion HK-5020-450 motor
