That is a cool little heli.

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D.

Nice killer tail vibe sound on spool up. We 130X owners know it all too well. Here we go again. And, spare us the "it's normal" BS from last time, please, when we all know it's not.

On the parts list it looks like several of the parts are the same as the 130x. I wonder if it might be possible to put the 4 blade head on 130x.

It looks like it would fit fine. It's the exact same frame, motor, gear layout, etc, but I think the control board is different. Seems like it would have to be for that head. The angled tail boom with yet another added set of temperamental gears will probably plug right into the back of the stock frame, too.

And POOF! As history has shown before, the Blade rep is predictably gone after an initial promotional advertising drive-by.

Okay, how's this? Regarding the serious vibe sound, which I brought up before, with the tail on spool-up that so many current 130X owners are familiar with because so many 130Xs came with this "feature" out of the box, is this going to be an issue (again)? Sure seems like it especially with another set of tail gears added and, if so, what are you ("you" as in Blade) going to do about it? Put out word on the street like Haley did before that it was "normal" on the 130X when we all knew it was not? According to him, it was "normal" for a brand new heli to destroy its tail with high frequency flights in under 15 flights. Sorry, we didn't buy that one bit. On the stock 130X there were blown tail flange bearings, stripped C and D gears, broken tail sliders, broken tail pitch arms, etc. A great many of us had to sort out serious 130X tail issues from the factory, so please don't even try to deny it. The established experience base from the 130X is just too large for you (again "you" means Blade) to even try to get away with it again.

stubbs, you seem quite upset. I have a ton of helis, and they all seem to have some problem with something or another. Sure the 130x has some tail issues, but comparatively it's pretty minor and can be dealt with. It would be nice if Blade could come out with some slightly modified parts that fix these issues out of the box, but it's not much work for me to make those mods myself. As a result of my mods the 130x has become my most reliable heli. I don't think you should be as upset as you seem.

Oh, and BTW, it was a fly by, not a drive by, lol.

Nah, more disgusted really... They need to quit releasing new toys before they fully mature the existing ones.

Sorry, shouldn't have to do that out of the box with a BNF heli advertised as factory test flown. But, yes, I realize these things happen and the company should OWN UP to it instead of having the 130X heli designer and star Blade demo pilot blow it off as "normal". He, of all people, should have had the knowledge and integrity to know better, but he does have to toe the company line/propaganda. However, I will give them credit where credit is due... They did great owning up to the junk, flaming ESC on their (then) flagship 550X and yanked them from future models and offered a refund to existing owners. Maybe they learned their lesson? Or, maybe, they were afraid of legal liabilities with such a large and dangerous heli, unlike the 130X.
As a result of my mods the 130x has become my most reliable heli.
Good luck. You must still be relatively new to the 130X. Watch out for cyclic servos failing at any time. Even new replacement ones.

Stubbs, I can see you are upset, but I am not interested in, (nor do I have time)debating/arguing whether or not you think the 130 X is/is not a "good" heli. I can say that the 130X is probably not for you then. Move on and fly something you do like. I wish you well in your future ventures. People that have problems or concerns are welcome (encouraged) to contact product support.

Nice cop out on not being willing to address the known issues with the 130X tail and this new complexity dumped on top of it. Oh well, you know a certain type of storm is coming your way when this thing gets released after the last time with the 130X. I suggest you guys put the word out and start interviewing extra part-time product support reps right now.

The tail issue on the 130x is very small. I'm at 462 flights and my 130 is still going strong. Out of those flights I have had one servo go bad, but horizon to care of the problem quickly. Move on and enjoy life...

I'm not really sure exactly what you expect a field rep to do about issues? Now if he were part of the design team, sure. But honestly, what are you asking of him.

as a rep for 3 companies I can tell you not every single pilot and rep is involved with the design process..too many cooks.we are here to help in fixing any issues you might have in reguards to service between the customer and company but as far as actually fixing design aspects???????

So what?

Mine shudders a little on spool up but it isn't spooling up while it's flying so it's fine.

I don't care if it does jumping jacks while spooling up if it flies right.

The tail boom and struts are like tooth picks...It will be NORMAL to vibrate or shudder a little while coming up to speed.

Stop buying them if you can't deal with it

It's a couple hundred dollars...Pitch it in the trash and move on if you are so hateful about it...Jeez...

I literally never use the word literally right.

A little shuddering is not the same as extremely destructive high frequency vibes. I suggest you learn the difference.

Good for you. However, most people aren't cool with a heli that tries to destroy its tail right out of the box.

I have exactly one 130X. I can "deal with it" just fine. I just choose not to any further than maintaining just one. It's not the only heli in my hangar, anyway. Far from it. I shake my head at these guys (you, possibly?) who own three, four or more of these.
