I have lost all respect for LGBT rights agenda! This isn't about rights, but a clear attempt to corrupt others into the alternative lifestyle. SAD!

WACKO's of the loony tunes land of LA-LA!

The end must be very near, I just can't see this continue much longer and feel the hammer is about to drop on all of us here on earth.

California Votes to Allow Boys to Shower with Girls in Public Schools

Parents, how would you feel if you found out that your junior or senior high school daughter was showering with a boy at school? Then how would you feel if you were told by the school that there is nothing they or you can do about it?

The California Assembly (same as House of Representatives in most states) passed Assembly Bill 1266 by a 46-25 vote.

Currently, there are 54 Democrats, 25 Republicans and 1 vacancy. All 46 votes for the bill were Democrats as no Republicans voted for in favor of the measure.

AB 1266 states that public schools cannot discriminate in any way concerning the sex of the student.

Both sexes are to have equal access to all offered courses, counseling and athletics. Any student can try out for any sport, regardless of their sex.

But the kicker is this statement contained in the bill:

“SECTION 1. Section 221.5 of the Education Code is amended to read:”

“(f) A pupil shall be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and facilities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s records.”

In other words, any boy who claims he is a girl, even though he is anatomically still a boy, would be allowed to use the same locker rooms and showers that the girls use. On the opposite side, a girl claiming to be a boy but is still anatomically a girl would be allowed to shower with all the boys.

They don’t even have to be undergoing any form of sex change therapy, just say they are the opposite sex from what they really are and they can parade around in all their glory in either locker room or shower.

Would it surprise you to learn that the bill’s author, Assemblyman Tom Ammiano is a Democrat and homosexual from San Francisco? He is also heavily involved in LGBT activist groups. In 1975 Ammiano became the first public school teacher in San Francisco to publicly admit that he was a homosexual.

In some warped sense of logic, Ammiano believes that this bill doesn’t violate or pose a problem to anyone else’s rights. Defending his bill he said:

“There’s no trampling of other people’s rights. There’s a recognition that other people have the same rights that you do. It’s also important to protect our children from prejudice.”

Oh really? What about the right of privacy, modesty and decency? What about the right of a parent to protect their child from sexual perversion and nudity of the opposite sex? - Secrets of the fed: California Votes to Allow Boys to Shower with Girls in Public Schools

Well, to be perfectly accurate (a rarity in this forum), this Bill has only passed the Assembly. It now moves to the state Senate where it is sitting in Committee and is awaiting its third reading (meaning it is not moving ahead swiftly by any means). So, it is NOT law yet. In order to become law it needs to get out of committee in the Senate, pass a vote of the full Senate, and then be signed by the Governor.

Just the fact that that bill made it to the state assembly is amazingly stupid.

Perhaps, but it does not "force" schools to do anything. It actually has provisions that allow schools to decline to allow transgender co-ed showers and has a process for the student and/or parents to appeal. I also suspect that if it does pass it will be challenged in court almost immediately and will be held by a stay while it goes through the courts.

What I wonder is just how many transgender students are there??

Why not just have a separate LGBT shower room for all LGBT? Please leave normal folks/kids alone. This is freaky as freak can get. I am sorry, there isn't a nice way to say it. It is not NORMAL or NATURAL, it defies all known logic. What about my or kids, "rights". Where is a shower for kids that choose not to be around LGBT folks?

That's not up to the kids. It should not even have to be a decision they have to make.

It's up to the parents to go to that state assembly and seriously kick some a##.

And the white conservative heterosexual people wait around thinking it's just a passing fad (homosexuals, LGBTs and whatever letters they go by) and are just waiting it out. Hard to believe that 2% of the population of America has that much clout with the politicians.

squeaky wheel syndrome. Give 'em marriage and wait for 1.5 seconds until they come up with something else to whine about. Because it will NEVER end.
Women's health, gay rights, minority set asides, bla bla bla...Meanwhile, mean old white guy just puts his head down and goes to work and pays the freight, all the while getting beat about the head by every other faction in this country.
Sooner or later, we're going to get sick of all of this crap and go on strike (think Atlas Shrugged).

So was this actually driven by gays and lesbians? or was it dumbocraps just playing the political game? Distraction? Manipulative wedge issue?

Now that Detroit has defaulted on 2.5 Billion... who else needs a distraction? Could it be California democrats?

Too bad most of you are not actually taking the time to read the Bill itself. Here are some portions of the Senate Committee Summary posted in one of the links I have above:
California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)

CIF bylaw 300 D., approved by CIF’s Federated Council on February 2, 2013, and to take effect in the upcoming school year (beginning August 1, 2013) is as follows:

Participation in interscholastic athletics is a valuable part of the educational experience for all students. All students should have the opportunity to participate in CIF activities in a manner that is consistent with their gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on a student’s records. Should any questions arise whether a student’s request to participate in a sex-segregated activity consistent with his/her gender identity is bona fide, a student may seek review of his/her eligibility for participation by working through the procedure set forth in the “Guidelines for Gender Identity Participation.

CIF’s Guidelines for Gender Identity Participation establish a process that includes:

1. The pupil and/or parents must contact the school administrator or athletic director indicating that the pupil has a consistent gender identity different than the gender listed on the pupil’s school registration records, and that the student desires to participate in activities in a manner consistent with his/her gender identity.

The school may contact CIF for guidance.

If the school declines to allow the pupil to participate in activities in a manner consistent with his/her gender identity, at the request of the pupil and/or parent the school administrator must contact the CIF office, which will assign a facilitator who will assist the school and pupil in preparation and completion of the CIF Gender Identity eligibility appeal process.

The pupil is to be scheduled for an appeal hearing before an eligibility committee specifically established to hear gender identity appeals.

A pupil may appeal the decision of the eligibility committee to the California Interscholastic Federation Executive Director.

This bill requires a pupil be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs, activities, and facilities including athletic teams and competitions, consistent with his/her gender identity, regardless of the gender listed on the pupil’s records.

Comments

According to the author, “Although current California law already protects students from discrimination in education based on sex and gender identity, many school districts do not understand and are not presently in compliance with their obligations to treat transgender students the same as all other students in the specific areas addressed by this bill. As a result, some school districts are excluding transgender students from sex-segregated programs, activities and facilities. Other school districts struggle to deal with these issues on an ad hoc basis. Existing law is deficient in that it does not provide specific guidance about how to apply the mandate of non-discrimination in sex-segregated programs, activities and facilities.”
Notice that the actual bill is designed to ensure that transgender students have equal access to all curriculum and activities based on their gender identification. It says nothing about "forcing schools to allow boys to shower with girls." That was the drum beat meme that people opposed to the bill used to get people riled up about the bill knowing full well that most will be too lazy to actually learn what the bill is about. Kind of like opposing gay marriage because you think it will lead to people marrying their dogs. Both are based on simplistic reasoning skills.

Phradrus you sure have a unique writing style.Everytime you write you come out sounding like a condescending ass who sees themselves as so much smarter than the rest of humanity.Does that remind you of anybody?Reminds me of Sheldon Cooper on BBT.And just like him hes real book smart but dumb as a brick on common sense things.

3DFreya - Thanks for the compliment, I am a big fan of BBT and especially Sheldon Cooper. Also, thank you for understanding the point of my post. Yes, I do indeed think most of you in this forum are so blinded by your dogmatic view of the world that you simply refuse to try to understand anything that is counter to your preconceived world view.

It is difficult to argue/discuss anything with people whose main response to anything they dislike is to call the person a "libtard" or to otherwise mount personal attack. I see that as a sign of an intellectually challenged person, which is a nice way of saying stupid.

I noticed that not one word in your post had any real substance or pertained to the actual topic at hand. Well done in making my point for me!!

Have a great weekend.
