This is probably my 15th flight after bumping the headspeed from 2600 to 2800rpm with the pinion changed from 14 to 15T. I was doing a fast forward flight, and then band the elevator to get ready for the stall turn and dang, the heli lost a lot of headspeed and had lots of noise from the drivetrain. I managed to land it in one piece at the end and notice that all the teeth on the main gear were almost gone.

How could that happen?

Could be the mesh was incorrect. Heated the main gear and weakened it.
