I so miss my 67 convertible Camaro. It was not as pretty as the blue on page one, but it was mine.

I had a 69 convertible Bird. Actually it was a Formula I think. It was a basketcase and I got it partially rebuilt and had to bail on it. I had a friend with a sweet 68 convertible.

Hootowl, that 'Bird is awesome. I used to do the maintenance on a '63 for a retired doctor when I worked at the Ford dealership in the '80s and '90s.

I actually owned one for a short time. I flipped it and made a couple grand.

1965 Chevy Malibu SS

Had one of these for awhile back in early 70's. Got in a lot of trouble with it and had some great memories as well.

Recently saw one on one of the cable tv car shows being sold at an auction. It sold for $125,000.00.

It was even the same color as mine.

Broke my heart.

Reminds me of my dad. When I was a baby, my dad bought like a 1 year old first year GTO convertible with the tri-power. I think he was like 20. My grandpa rode him so hard about the purchase that he ended up not keeping it for too long and buying something more family friendly. He's been kicking his own a$$ for 49 years over that one.

This is not a pic of mine. Not a convertible. But, it is a pic of my first car purchased approx 1963 for $175.00 cash. I earned the money in the summer picking cherries in the orchards in the summer months in a small town in central Washington state.

My Dad and brother and I put it in the garage and painted it battleship grey. Great car. But, dangerous as heck to drive. 1935 ford 4 door sedan. It still had the old mechanical brakes. Flat head V8. Keep it for about a year and ultimately sold to to a kid for $100.00.
