Tight is not the right word. The swash / main shaft has a good fit. The swash has a slightly smaller id than a 10 mm bearing. Rather than get a different swash supplier or enlarge the swash ball MA decided to just go with a smaller main shaft. It is a good fit on the swash but slightly loose on a 10MM bearing. It is a design decision by MA, not a mistake. I don't like the fact that the main shaft to bearing fit is a bit loose but it has not caused me any problems. I wish they would make it so all their parts have a good fit but that is their decision.
Another option would be for MA to put a step in the main shaft. Get a 10MM shaft and machine it down where the swash rides. This would add a manufacturing step and this may take several complaints for MA to do
