Hey everyone. Well, ive been flying seriously for the last year and have advanced quite a bit but the last 2 days I can't seem to put 2 and 2 together for some reason and almost crashing often on the most simplest moves?? Ive had this happen a couple of times earlier in the year but now it seems the worst?? I took a little break a couple of weeks ago so im thinking its not a burnout. Anyone ever experience this and can shed some light? Have fun!

I can definitely relate! I think it can have to do with anything from stress, dehydration, personal life distractions etc. Some days I feel so connected, and other days I feel like I'm always a step behind. Maybe hit up a Gentlemen's club and see how you fly after that.

You'll be back in sync in no time. No worries.

Walk away for a few days even if you don't think it's burn out and reapproach it.

Walk away for a few days

Good advice, when I first was learning to hover I would practice and practice for long hours.

I was amazed when I went away for a week holiday and came back to it how more connected I was. sometimes a rest is all that is needed.

we have all been there.

What helps me is a set of iPod ear phones and some music that rocks! For some reason it blanks out everything else around me but the heli.

There is no such thing as up, it's all out...

I seem to be way more on point the days I'm excited about something specific. Whether it's flying a new ship, or just a maneuver I've been trying on the sim. When I practice for competition I always have a game-plan on specific things to work on before I even leave for the field. Maybe try breaking it down something like that. It's exciting to know you'll leave that day a better pilot than if you just dinked around doing the same things as always. Just something to think about...
A break is definitely a great idea if there's any chance you've lost that fire for the hobby from being burned out. Also, take care of your body and it'll take care of your mind. Eat right and stay hydrated on flying days to stay mentally sharp!

Hope you snap out of your funk soon my friend!

Agreed 3Kidz. Before competition flights I put my headphones on, crank some music, and visually fly all my maneuvers in my head. I take them off during the flight just to be able to hear my caller and the bird, but it's definitely a great way to get focused before a flight. I used to do the same when I was racing karts and stock cars. The main thing is to have fun. If you're not excited to go to the field that day, you should probably take a breather.

Cheers!
