I have a HeliStar that I'm ressurecting. It was my 3rd heli (Mini-Boy, Heli-Boy) and is still in great shape. I've heard you can mod it to have a tt tail using X-Cell parts( so I can use a modern gyro on it). Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks

I'm not sure about the torque tube conversion but assuming the xcell gear box matches up with the ID of the boom and the bearing holder rubber O rings gets down there as well, it's a matter of cut n fit. Same goes for the connections @ the opposite end of the boom in regards to the gears. A modern gyro will not be an issue. We're pretty sure u won't be doing 3D and the machine certainly doesn't know what gyro you're running.
