well two things for sure:

the E700 weighs less than the G4
the E700 kit and its parts cost less than the G4

obviously it can hold up to some pretty tuff stuff being thrown at it.Proprietor - Gas Powered Helicopters

I do agree with that Carey. I do, but my gripe is that TT introduced a new machine only a couple of years ago (G4) and now they are discontinuing it.

They had the Raptor 90 and all variants available for a much, much longer time than that.

I have never had ANY issues with their machines and I am not bad mouthing them, but I am extremely disappointed with their recent marketing decisions.

They could at least chime in and let LOYAL customers know for sure what the heck their plans are. Will parts be available?..Will there be ANY other form of a 90 size Nitro machine?..Are they concentrating on the majority vote ( electric )?..

+1 Lee! I have been struggling with this my self as I have been flying Raptors for 13yrs now and like them very much, But as I am getting back into it after some medical issues for the past two years I'm having issues getting part and although some G4 parts can be used they are not available either, I have converted one to flybarless using an RJX head but the the parts are far and few also. I also have sent an e-mail to TT with no reply either.

The problem isn't TT it is Tower Hobbies. They are "big box", they wan't to sell and are not so interested in service. Look for clearance sales on your 2 year old G4 parts and the same in two years for your E700/820. They have done this before. When they brought in the Mars/Poseidon heli's, and dropped them soon after, that may have been a good decision but I still don't trust them.

Oh well.
I heard there might be some mods to the original G4 Nitro FBL.
Guess I'm just getting desperate. lol

The ache is just about over now. I have the time for a G4 now. I have the money for a G4 now. I almost never have both at the same time.

Soooooooo, I just bought a Gaui NX4 and all the trimmings. It will be here tomorrow. I will spend the weekend building it. Thunder Tiger, I'm sorry. I waited as long as I could.

You just can't pull something awesome like that off the market and expect people to just hold their money, spend their time, and get no official word of when it will be back...............I'm out.

The G4 E720 and 90Nitro were designed to convert to either electric or nitro. Now, I can't see why only the nitro parts needs to be upgraded?

I did look at the idea of buying the FB version and upgrading to FBL but the idea was first confusing, then annoying when I saw the money I would have to spend to upgrade a brand new bird to an older, previously offered package. For me, that is not my dream bird. A package upgrade would at least offer one the assurance of a single trip to the shop or website without the worry of being short parts or buying more useless parts to stack with the unused FB parts from the initial purchase. I hated to give up, but Thunder Tiger has lost my business for at least this season.
My new NX4 will ease the pain.

Parts support is still there. If you really want one, you can get the FB version and convert it, or get an E720 FBL and convert that.

Or, you can go to MA. If the parts ever run out, I'll probably go to MA myself (but with a gasser).

Folks, Thunder Tiger is updating the G4 as has been mentioned. At this time we do not have any further information on when the nitro version will become available again. When we have information it will be made available.
