Is it ok to use a gear puller to remove my fan? I can pick one up at Harbor Freight tomorrow or I can order the fan puller from Century.

Is the gear puller with its three position legs going to support the fan enough or is it going to be too much stress on the fan and bend it.

Anyone else have experience using a gear puller?

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Get the Century Puller
You best bet is probably the Century puller; it's what I use.

Just remember to unscrew the bolt that holds the fan in by two or three turns. The puller's bolt will be pushing on the fan's bolt.

Once it lets go take the puller off and the fan will come off easily.

Good luck!
