Would anyone know how to disable throttle ratchet on a Spektrum DX7S? What do I need to do to what screws? The user manual is very brief and I have not succeeded yet.

It might work the same way for a DX8, so if you know how to do it for the DX8, please share some details.

Thank you in advance!

There are two screws. One adjusts the ratchet, one adjusts tension.

Loosen the one that controls the ratchet till you ratchet no more. Adjust the tension to your liking.

Same way as the DX8, the two radios use the same gimbal assemblies.

Not much else for the manual to say.

This is the inside of a DX8, but your stick should look the same. Yellow circle shows the two screws. Loosen the ratchet till it doesn't, tighten the tension as you need.

Thank you Dave.

Follow up question: is there any way to get to these screws without opening the radio? That is are these screws accessible through the holes under the rubber grips?

In the DX8, they are. Could be same for DX7S.

From the DX7S manual...
Remove rubber plugs from the back of the transmitter to adjust friction straps on vertical gimbals.
Sounds like the screws are accessible without taking the TX apart.

Done.

For some reasons, I had not located the plugs hiding the screw for the ratchet adjustment, and I was mistakenly looking for a screw under the grip... When you interpret the instructions properly (it takes a brain that is less twisted than mine) it is very straightforward.

Thank you again for your help!
