Really stumped here. When I go through the multi gov config. I set the idle ...low stick with adjusted trim tab for idle/starting. She starts perfectly, but I can't kill the engine via lowering the throttle trim tab on my dx7.

This is on my n5c the linkage is the same as the distance from servo to carb center. Did I miss something here?

Multi gov
Do you have a throttle cut? If not, set the low idle at -100% and then move your throttle curve back up to where it is at for low idle. The gov thinks you don't have any more servo travel.

Not technically. Dx7 has throttle recovery. So when I move the trim tab down the engine should quit. And one bump of the tab up resets the idle for the next start.
Cstoutr you sayin I should set it at low stick and low trim tab. Then set the low idle without telling the gov?

Well I have a throttle cut so I put it at -100%. If you set up the low and high limits at -100 and 100, then put in a throttle curve for normal and IU1, it should work. I would try it on the bench and see. The limits are to tell the gov what it has to work with so that it knows the full servo travel.

This is not strictly true as I am running a multi gov pro but with a Futaba radio. I set the idle in the governor for where the engine will idle. I then set my throttle cut to some value less than that and it works.

The multigov pro needs to know the idle position so that it can work out where to go with the minimum throttle percentage value that by default is set to 30%. Which will be 30% of what you set for idle position and maximum position.

That's true Andy. I have mine set up the same way but with the way he has it, it won't work that way.

I think the problem might be that I meed more throw. I can't even kill it using -150 throttle in travel adjust

The typical setup for the throttle linkage is to make it the same length as the distance of the screw on the barrel to the screw on the servo and then put the balls the same distance out on both levers. Doing this it is almost always possible to get plenty of throw for full closed to full open.

Sounds like you are doing the set up correctly.
I'd put it on the bench, and see what happens.

***Update***
After further investigation it was a loose carb that was causing the no shut off condition
Thanks for all the replies
