Motor stallWell, I am a lucky guy. Figured out why my two Tiger motors were "stalling". Was about 50' up in a pre-flight hover. Noticed some oscillation. So I descended. During descent, started losing some control but managed an OK landing. Just before shutdown heard a "bearing" squeal. I always check motor heat all around and one was much hotter and a second kinda warmer.
On the bench one motor can had play. Saw the shaft had dropped down. Looked closer and found the two grub screws that held prop hub stuff to the motor shaft were gone !!! The other motor that "stalled" had one missing. NONE of the grubs were tioght enough on all the motors and none had any Loctite. Replaced missing and blue Loctite all. Apparently the "stalling" was just the shaft spinning sometimes without the propeller....hence the "lucky guy".
So if you have Tiger motors, check 'em. And a Hex flew well enough to land nose-in with only 5 motors spinning and one of those probably slipping. But don't try this at home.
