I'd take my 130 100 times over my BL, BUT....I don't have a ton of time on the BL either because it's been pretty windy lately. The 130 eats wind for breakfast....

I wouldn't say it was TOO windy. I just love my 130 is all. I need to start spending more time with the BL.
I may end up dumping all of my micros, which is a shame because they're all blinged out....plus I've got BL conversion for the mcpx and the nano. I should probably give that a spin before I get rid of them.

What set of blades are you guys using for 3D? The stock one with the leading edge weight?

I'm using the blades with the weights. Been meaning to try the non-weighted ones.

I just got new ones without weight. I just changed out to unweighted on my 130 and LOVE them. I'll have neon Microheli unweighted blades on ALL of my micros for the weekend.

I have a little tail wag. Is there a way to adjust the gain? Gear channel?

I also lowered the expo to 15 and think I might go lower than that.. Maybe less than 10%.

Too bad Horizon Hobbies doesn't put more data out on their helicopters.. It would be nice to know about the different main blades, gyro gain.. and telemetry possibilities.. or am I just a Helicopterhead...??

I agree, more info for those who want it would be nice.

There was mention somewhere that the gain is adjustable. Mine wags a bit at times, I don't mind so long as the tail holds.

In conclusion, I think they keep it dumbed down so it doesn't scare off some people.

And yes you are a helicopter head....

BL upgrades
The only up grade this heli needs is a solid tail boom, and a tougher canopy.

A replaced the boom with a piece of solid carbon fiber, and lined the canopy with clear packing tape.

I've tried everything to get rid of the tail wag, but no luck. So I just fly it as is. It wags but it holds. It's a screamer, tic tocs, flips, rolls, loops. You name it and this heli will do it.

And it's tough!!! After making the upgrades noted above, I slammed it into the gym wall, picked up the parts that were on the floor, put it back together and I was flying again. Not sure how long the canopy is going to hold out as some sections are just packing tape.

Hehe, they are killing me with all the little bnfs.

I'd like to get one and put a hoop of thin carbon rod around the blade guards and try and cartwheel it

I was thinking of getting one of those to replace my 1sq so I don't have to use an anylink, or drag a 2nd radio around for the anylink. However, I'm starting to get tired of the quadcopter flying characteristics, the novelty was neat for a while.

Raptor.. Thx for the Kbdd idea.

The little quad is just good to fly in my living room.. And it is on backorder until 6/20 I believe.

Got my Nano QX.. Lots of fun.. It is a really good orientation trainer.. All new heli pilots could really learn upright control with it, much better than the simulator for real world flight control.

I love messing with my dogs with it,..

I just got the bl, and so far my opinion is that its a pos right out of the box! A 3 second flight and the canopy and tail boom are broke! What do you guys do to make them fly right?
