I'm loving my MCPX BL for after dinner flying

Has anyone tried eflight's new metal swash for it yet? I might get one after and if I break the stocker.

I haven't tried the metal swash but I too love this heli. Its the first Blade heli I ever had that needed no upgrades at all out of the box, plenty of power, tail holds, just about perfect. My buddy got the 130 and had alot of problems with the torque tube system. Horizon should have put a brushless tail motor on the 130 as well-- fewer moving parts to strip out. If anyones got a 130 they are frustrated by I would suggest getting the McpX BL instead or maybe even convert the 130 to a brushless tail motor.

fwiw..

Gotta agree...Best bang fer tha buck yet....Took a bit of fiddling with the t/r blade and gain, but now rock solid, flys well in pretty brisk wind, tail holds better than my 130....

Its pretty darn addicting

Things that break are the stock hollow boom and skids for the most part. Things have really only broken when I miss the grass and stuff it into the baseball diamond

I still can't believe the little motor driven tail holds going backwards.

It'll help you forget how much a PITA that iKant, I mean iKon has been to you.

you guys are making me want to put more time in on mine (BL). Right now, I'm loving my 130. Put it in hard for the first lime last weekend. Dusted it off and went right back up. But I can see where I may get rid of my nano and mcpx and spend more time with the BL.

There, fixed. I saw your vid, looked like it wigged out to me (and everyone else).

I was thinking the same fla. As fun as the Nano is, I much prefer the MCPX BL. I'm going to let my son bang around the MCPX v1 when he is ready. I won't be too sad when he destroys it

Word of caution:

Don't fly this helicopter at 4:30 am under a street lamp after consuming vast quantities of vodka..

They do or shall I say, are capable of catching on fire..

Whoa! You managed to fully destroy it?

How? Did you fly it into a bug lamp?

So you did fly into a bug zapper

Sorry to hear it smoked.

I've been using 15% expo myself with a flat TT curve. The suggested expo/dr is very very conservative.

I think I read that some go beyond 100% ATV, haven't tried it myself.

since this thread is about anything and everything
What kind if flight times does the mcpxBL get? I've been looking for something as a park flyer, I was thinking this maybe less intimidating than a 130x if other people are around, and I wouldn't have to deal with a TT.
