adjusting the piro rate on Ifon ?
How is this best done on the Ikon. The default piro rate is agonizingly slow But I understand its setup this way. Where do you go to change the Piro rate to make it spin faster?

Got this on Goblin 500 setup the end points in the Ikon menu, looking at Gain on aux channel (but I don't know if this is the right place) Rubber end points in TX maybe ?

Simmer,
To adjust your piro rate you need to go to View - Advanced - Tail - Tail Rotational Speed. If you are using bank switching you need to change it in each bank.

nope do not think I use bank switching. (do not really know, seup on default setting(switch?) Is 500 a good start point? It goes to 1000 I see. defaulted to zero (at least in the demo mode I am looking at.)

500 would = 500 degrees a second at 100% stick. I would think at 1/2 stick the amount I would normally piro at, 360 = one rotation. Might be a good starting point. ??

Todd,. I set it to 500 this morning. It was set to 440 by default.
I am not using or did not setup bank switching. A buddy of mine isn't sure if the change will take effect unless I turn on or use bank switching, but he is not sure. Neither am I

If I was to go up in 5% increments as the documentation suggests, it would be 440 + 22 or 462. So I am actually going up more than 15% but I saw someone in a forum say they set to 500 and it seemed alright. Guess Ill find out tonight.

Also, While I don't normally set expo on my rudder channel, do you ?, or would you suggest I set 20% in there. (Goblin500)

Thanks

if you are not using banks, you can tell what bank you're in by looking at your brain, count how many red flashes there are, either 1 2 or 3. That will be your current setup.

then go into the advanced features, click on the correct setup tab and go to tail and change the rotation rate. I'm at like 615 and liking it, but that's all personal opinion.

wow 500 is too slow? do you like it really fast? I set mine at 460 and its perfect. Just want to double check your in Tail and not in Cyclic right? As long as your endpoints are at the max throw and then one click back, I guess adjust it as you see fit. The 5% rule is more like elevator I gain, stuff like that where if you went so far on it you could shake your heli to pieces, or it would be un controllable but if you were going the wrong way at 5% increases you would see it getting worse and worse and start going the other way.

Also I suggest saving your file somewhere on your comp before you start messing around, then you can always reload if you get it to far out of wack. I highly recommend you play around the settings and learn the systems.

so if your still following this, I got a pm and a tip where I found my issue, not tested yet with this rain here.

Setting the servos travel in the Ikon, I had set airleron and elevator for 100 but did not set the tail. Maybe I was trying to jump ahead when I saw too much travel on the servo.
Anyway it was set to about 63% on both ends, moved it up to 100 (noticed the color turns green- good sign)

Left the mode switch set for 440 500 and 550 for tail acceleration.
This should be an interesting flight

Reset zero pitch and top bottom pitch to + - 13
