If you ground the electrical system and the motor mount and there's poor motor insulation, it can cause problems. Related issue. Team POP Secret

The thread is about static and how to fix THAT issue. Yes other issues can arise, like the one I mentioned with shorts to the frames, but EVERY issue on a R/C heli can be related to another. A shorted motor lead can cause issues, it has happened to me, but grounding to the motor plate and NOT the negative wire will not fix it or prevent it from causing havoc.....different issue all together.
Let's try and stay on topic so people who search can get useful info and not wandering topics

If one chooses to thoroughly ground the heli and make the connection to the electronics ground, they could have an issue if there is poor motor insulation. What one does to mitigate static may combine with another issue. Without the ground, the motor issue, although a separate issue, may go unnoticed. Thus related.Team POP Secret

Once again, it won't. Not related issues no matter how you try and link them....this is a static solving thread. If you want to start another thread on how you believe heli issues are related, be my guest. So many issues can arise, I am sure there will be lots of responses Team MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!
