how did the midland scale event go? By the lack of response not that well
Darren Swailes (main organiser) did not show up on the Saturday, and arrived late on the Sunday so the competition was delayed by a couple of hours, so some would be entrants left early (hearsay) Who won what, Allan Parrish got a first John Copleston, got a second ,anyone got any photos I saw some on another forum, but just of the Saturday, we will have to wait for the Model Helicopter World Mag Peter R |

We can both say we had a first at the LHC That makes mine a full set 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a fourth, all with different models at the LHC, over 6 years Don't forget John Copleston, he had the 1st for static scale, I think Alan Matthews, came second (static) with his R22 The young lads name is Lee Matthews, son of Alan, certainly a name to watch after see his performance today, in fact over the whole weekend, really good to see a 9 year old in a competition, albeit he only did the set manouvers And then he went and upset me by not going for the famous full size heli ride with Sean Brown, (owner and organiser of the LHC event) that being the prize for winning the overall event I have some photo's but too tired to post Peter R |

I have already got a scale machine for him, but until he get's his 'A' cert, it will stay in the hanger, I have also promised him a Vario petrol acrobat to practice on, but Alan is sorting his petrol Preditor for Lee Will be interesting to see how he progresses next time you see him at a fly-in I know he would pass the flying part for his 'A' cert, but he must be able to answer the questions asked from the handbook I know he is reading the handbook, but his recall let's him down ( he is only 9) Peter R |

Would love to get to one of these events Mark, The EYNSFORD, event is next Sunday down near London, if the weather is fair it would be a good event to attend,
After that is Brett's fly-in again nearer to you still London area, this is a 2 day event this time Follow that with the traditional last of the season weekend at CHARMOUTH, down in Dorset, special weekend Rates at Newlands Holiday camp The 'A' and 'B' cert are not compulsory, But it just shows the organisers that you have obtained a BFMA level of compadance BMFA insurance, is the minimum level of entry, Without an 'A' cert at a BMFA event (Charmouth)you will require a 'B' cert flyer to stand as your caller It really is a safety issue more than anything else, one thing less for the organisers to worry about So get the cobwebs dusted off and turn up, would be good to see new faces, Peter R |

Charmouth Traditionally Charmouth has been the last National Open Meet of the season
Last year at this time at one point there were 10mm hail laying on the ground, This time we could not have asked for better weather, Saturday warm low wind, Sunday so hot, and Sunny, I came home with a top up tan Attendances were down on previous years, there was a big Continental meet in Switzerland, On Saturday at lunchtime 55 transmitters had been booked in, so not that quiet Sunday slightly more pilots, but the scale fraternity had more flight stations, this ment there was always some scale in the air I took just a few photo's so if any body wants to post please do, there were a lot of video cameras both days, any footage will be appreciated This Quad is the smallest I have seen Peter R ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I was there both days That was 8 weeks ago, by now you should have a list of winners, or is that another secret
We have not seen you at many of the fly-in's, I suppose you have other priorities now, must be difficult getting baby sitters these days, like me and my driver Peter R |

he is big enough and wise enough to look after himself, Nick, So what has it to do with you, until you know all the answers, zip it
Now he has entered the real world, he needs to go back and read some of his own post, He was warned, now they have come to bite him in the ass Peter R |
