Logo 600 SX Questions
Hey guys so I couldn't help myself so I ordered the last Logo 600 SX. They had 10% off which made it even better. Okay so I have a few questions for you guys. One is this a good setup for the logo 600 SX? Second question, Can you guys post your file setups so I can get a good range of gains. Third of all what is the best head speed?

Logo 600SX
Edge 603 FBL
Edge 95 Tail
HKlll 4035-450 Mikado Edition with the 12T sx pinion
Kontronik Jive 80HV V9
3- Futaba BLS452
1-Futaba BLS256HV
Mini Blue vbar 5.3 pro
2- Gens Ace 6s 4400 35c
Running the servos at 7.4V

Thanks,

Gabriel

Look at the BLS255HV for Cyclic servos - then you will have a full HV setup.

Go for the V-Bar full size and not the mini.

I run 3300 Mah bat, but I have not tested 4400 Mah bat.

The Jive regulator can only run 6V and not higher.

Just rebuilt my 6003D and used the new sx upgrades other then the tail. Took a little time with multiple shims to get the counter bearing/third bearing support installed correctly with NO binding or play. Well worth it though. Very solid setup! I am loving it so far! Your setup looks fine! I am using 10S 4000 packs, jive 80 and savox 550kv motor. I was tached yesterday at 2300 rpm using a 12 tooth pinion.

I will post my vbar file tonight. I am at work now.

...oh, dont worry about using the mini vbar. Not sure why someone would recommend the full size over the mini on the logo 600...especially if thats what you have!

MiniV works fine but on larger birds I prefer full size. I've installed multiples of both versions on 600s and always prefer the full size. A) the extra open ports for an extra channel, telemetry module, dual power lines from BEC/flight pack, or for a future project (what if you decide to build a nitro next?). B) Only one sensor wire you need to worry about isolating from movement/vibration as opposed to all the servo, throttle, and BEC/flight pack wiring. C) Another nice thing with a full size is that you can get to the control panel port without removing the canopy. Nice for tuning sessions on the flight line.

In Gabe's case with running HV setup, while bypassing his Jive's internal BEC you run out of open ports for power. You can get the power into a MiniV but it requires some modified wire harnessing. Not hard to do but some can be apprehensive about pulling conjoining the signal from the ESC line with the power from one of the two lines of input voltage connectors. Remember you can't input power to the RXA port with a spektrum satellite setup which i'm pretty sure is what Gabe is using.

Gabe - You can go 6S 4400 as long as you know it'll be nose heavy unless you add tail weight. For HV rx power are you using a flight pack, or HV BEC? Just curious because you didn't list it.

+1 on what Big Fil said.

Plus, the full size is more vibration resistant. The 600 may not need it but if some vibration does come in, it'll be less likely to freak out.

On a Logo 600, the Mini will be fine....you HAD one on the one you sold me
The Mini and the FS offer the same vibration resistance, it is just the Mini can't be mounted everywhere the FS sensor can be because if it's size.
The REAL issue is getting current INTO the mini for the standard servos because of the limited amount of inputs.....Ron

The latest Silverline (8 sensor element ring) is no better at vibrations than the mini? I did not know that.

Try installing a mini on a gasser.

His mini is Blue, there is no Silverline Mini. Logo 600s (original ones, not frankenhelis) don't vibrate.Team MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!

I was referring to a mishap like dinging a tail blade or something. There's no need for a personal attack.Team POP Secret

Not a personal attack at all, there are PLENTY of Logo clones out there and they may need a higher tolerance FBL system. Many like the SK540 for that reason supposedly.
People quickly forget that the Logo 500/600 airframe was what was used with the black series VBARS for years. Now all of a sudden, the same airframe cannot tolerate that system....let alone a more vibration resistant blue mini.
We have guys that think they need a 120HV ESC in a 500mm blades Heli and now all you can use is a Silverline VBAR or it won't work When will the madness end????
Bottom line, in this scenario, running the internal Jive BEC (I spoke to Gabe on the phone about this) a Mini VBAR, black or blue, will work flawlessly.....

Note that I did not say the mini would not work on an L600. I said a possible benefit was the higher tolerance to potential vibration if there's a mishap. Tail blade hit, flat spot on an idler, magnet loosens on a motor, boom slips and the belt starts slapping around etc. All may be setup issues to blame on the user but stuff happens to people.

And, you don't seem to realize that I have a bone stock Logo 600. And the clone is way smoother. A LOT more powerful too.

So the airframe is more powerful??? I didn't know that could be a choice, hey but what do I know..
If you tap your tail of hit the ground, it will not matter what FBL system you have, chances are, you are going in....period. Flat spot on an idler, magnet loosens, booms slips and belts slapping are all things I hope my FBL system does not mask as they will all eventually cause a catastrophic failure that the FBL system cannot recover or save you from.
We have different opinions, and that is fine, I just know from first hand experience, your original statement was not my experience or the experience of every Mikado pilot they flew the Mini VBAR....even in TDRs......Ron

It has a one way that can handle more power....amongst other things. Hardly a Logo at all, just takes the canopy.

And if a tail blade gets nicked in flight, or any number of things that happen to people, causing the heli to roll over into the ground, I don't necessarilly blame the gyro. But I do recognise a potential benefit of a gyro that might not have rolled over. Yes, a difference in opinion is all it is.
Not really anything to make such a big deal about. It's only one minor point in a list of what makes the difference between the high end and the cheap version.
