Thx guys. I like the air compressor idea. It will give me a reason to use it.

I am shocked how well the heli took the crash. My tail boom is bent from the main blades hitting it but most damage is gear related and of course the oil mud The new parts will be here tomorrow. It also gave me the opportunity to buy an Ikon for my 550 and to try some Rail Blades on this model

It's starting to sound more like an electronics failure more than an engine failure. It would be good to view the vbar log.
How do you have failsafe set?

Not necessarilly. If I remember right, it has a gaui gov. Perhaps that failed.Team POP Secret

Auto rotation
Sorry to here about your crash.

From the limited information, no telling what went wrong.

On the other hand, throttle hold would have prevented a whole lot of damage.

Although an auto rotation from ten feet is not pretty, with practice you should be able to land on the skids.

I auto every landing. It's good practice.

PS I've seen guys crash electrics because the motor took a dump, and they didn't know it because they couldn't here it. Nitro v Electric is a personal preference, not a crash preference.
