Hi,

my hely is a ch-46 Vertol from 1988 with mechanical mixer. The Chinook (CH-47) is a completely different machine. There is an electronic mixer unit controlling the complex operation of the twin rotor heads. This unit also provides the three axis gyro stabilisation.

Here below are the two G301 gyro fitted on rudder and elevator channels. I will add a 3rd gyro on aileron axis.

Hi Johnny,

Thank you very much for the advice. I have exactly the same 1988 Chinook, mechanical mixer. Original I use the Vbar as the gyro but the outcome is not good. I am considering using 3 x Futaba Gy401.

I am looking forward your 3 gyros system.

BTW, I have another 2006 new version electonric mixer chinook with original Hirobo electronic gyro.

Best Regards,

Here is a rare upgrade kit, from Capital, for the SST-Eagle (87-91 models).
New thin light frames, new main shaft, gold parts and new control lines system for the washplate.

the frames are very similar to Kalt Omega PRO Grand Prix.

Only few parts comes from SST-Eagle; so the internal gears, tank, engine mount.
