I hate to break this to you but that "Thunder" charger is nothing like that "iCharger" But this Voltz charger is......

and i know it is just as legit as the iCharger MrMel. lol

Fatboy charger is manufactured OEM i.e. same factory, just different label plus no PC interface.
It's as legit at the PL8

YGE clone is another story.

Thats what happens when companies have the products made in the same factories...different variations of the same products [some under license]; in other words they just dont have the same options within the component.

You can buy Michelin tires from Sears or a Michelin authorised retailer....look the same but not rated the same.

Not what i like to see but its reality.....

Everyone has been teaching the chinese how to do it until they where able to do it.
Before it have been other asiens.

Just to get the prices down.

Now we have a few companies there like foxconn, walkera, align (not chinese, but taiwan) who took the market and set the massmarket trends.

Germans and italians are good on design (germans also on quality and reliability), americans are good on mass marketing and business financing and structuring, asians are good on mass production and bringing prices down.

We can´t change the world to turn backwards, so we have to make the best out of it.

I would like to have german choppers with a italien canopy design at chinese prices with chinese fuel and american part supply and support.

Some are private label, some are clones, some are coincidence. IDK about the examples shown but there are many more. I have the Hitec X4 and have seen 3 or 4 others that look identical. I LOVE my Litco Alpha 4's. I have 2 of them. I use the one daily. The other is a backup. Where the heck were the Chinese when Litco was THE battery management system to own?

I know most of you like the real fast chargers with a lot of watts.
But I bought one of those Thunder AC6 AC/DC three years ago. For $55.00 And it's still works great. Keeps my packs in near perfect balance. It will charge my 3S 2200 in like 30 min. Thats good enought for me. And I bought two Balance X-chargers, DC only, for $20.00 each and they work till this day perfect. I use them to charge our small park type planes. I know most don't like the cheap china stuff, but a lot of good items comes from their also. Just not Grade A all the time. All mine will do upto 6S. I did own a TP Charger 1010C once. It was great. Japan makes real good stuff. Maybe I'll get something from their next.

thats all fine and dandy but when you move up to 6S packs 50-100Watts just doesn't cut it.50W wont do a 6S 2500mah pack at 1C.

I spent the money for a high end charger for 2 reasons,1)the ability to fast charge multiple packs(more flying time)and customer support in the US that is second to none.

The cheap import chargers may be great for some people and some applications,but not for everyone.Especially when you start wanting to charge 4+ 6S packs at once

I have two YEP electronic speed controllers and never had an issues with them since day one. They're cheap, reliable, and have one heck of a gov. I don't know what happened to that shrink wrap, mine didn't come like that. I'm going to order a third for my Aurora to replace the gov In the CGY750 until Fuata works out the kinks in that.

OPTO has no BEC in it. You have to supply your own BEC.

JR NEX E8, 700MX 12S setup with 2S Life RX pack. Motor and esc comes Down ambient temp after every flight. I don't do any insane 3D so I don't know how it would react if a pro uses it, of course if I was a pro I would use nothing but the best. I've seen a couple YouTube vids of people ringing them out on 700 sized machines. If you search the forums you see that a lot of people are using them. I don't know what post it was but someone took both a YGE and YEP apart and said they were pretty much identical. HK copied the firmware from the earlier YGE controllers. That's why you can program the YEPs with the YGE program card.

its more than cost to manufacture. Do not forget the individual components have a tolerance and a tighter tolerance means a more expensive and more reliable product. Sure your lesser cost YGE ESC will do the job, but for how long, under what conditions.
Do you dare trust your 1500+ Aurora to a savings of say 120 dollars? If you do, good for you, don't fly near me please

I wont purchase bottom end for any electronics where a failure could mean trashing 1000 plus of helicopter. Each to his own.
Just saying. If the tolerance's happen to favor the same side, they add up, much more likely to fail.

Its not like you can SEE the difference or hear the difference with this lesser cost component. I would not shy form a foamy airplane or a cheap 450 or smaller, but hey.... a 600 flying at 70MPH swinging 600MM blades at 2100+ rpms? No no no, not I.

Face it, its not a hobby you are wise to cheap out on, unless you fly alone.
