Am I the only one here who thinks that it's kind of pathetic we're the only country outside of Africa and Asia that will let people die rather than pay for them to get medical treatment they need?

Seriously, I work hard to afford my helicopters, but I'd give up a few tax $$$ to support those who can't afford health-care. Anything else is just plain barbarian, especially with all the other much more pointless things we already pay taxes for.

I'm all for letting other people pay for free-loader healthcare if they want to. I just don't want to be forced to do it. I agree with you, there are a lot of other thing things we shouldn't be paying taxes for. Just about every free-loader program the government funds.

I find that most people who refer to "free-loaders" forget all the government services that make the businesses they work for possible in the first place. Don't complain about the government keeping people from dying, if you're ok with the government maintaining the roads you use to get to work, that allow consumers to show, and that keep the economy alive.

The way governments lets both people and businesses forget about basic survival necessities and focus on growth is responsible for our modern and amazing standards of living.

The people who are unwilling to pay a little to keep their fellow man alive, yet spend money on plenty of fun things they don't need, and then try to hide their selfishness by blaming "free-loaders....." Not everyone who can't afford health-care is trying to rip off the system, so try to think outside of your own financial standings. It can cost more than a house, a car, food, etc. I'd rather a system where we all pay 1% more and no-one has to worry about what should be a basic human right.

I'm completely ok with you thinking that you are taking the moral high road. The fact that there are people manipulating the system is why it should be turned over to the private sector, then you can boast all you want about helping your fellow man. I gave my country ten years and I'm ok with that. I'm also ok with you splitting your paycheck with free-loaders. See, we agree!!!
