I was told that there are version 1 of the Rush 700 and an updated version 2. Searched RR and the web but it appears there is but one version. Am I being misinformed? Looking to get one and want the lastest version if indeed there is an updated version.

Thanks.

Both of your posts aren't entirely true or entirely wrong... There are two parts that I'm aware of that are newer and different... There is a new one-way bearing that is different but I'm not aware of any problems with the original. From what I understand, the newer bearing is just a better design. There is also a different spindle that can be switched out. Instead of being threaded for bolts, it's got protruding threads that nuts attach to. Excellent design improvement imo. Not that there's anything wrong with the original.

These are the only differences I'm aware of. There is another forum that has a far more active ALeeS sub-forum, BTW.

Hi,

I said there is only 1 version on the market AT THE MOMENT. Previous versions that had the old OWB are all in the hands of consumers. But when you purchase a new kit from any retailer today, it will be the "new" version. To avoid confusion for the OP, I chose not to get into the details.

The new spindle is an option part, along with a few more option parts being released very soon.

Regards,
G

Chopper.. There was and is nothing wrong with the OWB. The previous design was a custom made OWB that Charley had made. Since then he has sourced a new OWB that is more readly available and much less expesive to replace. Either will work very well and have not seen any failures in the feild to my knowledge.

The new spindle was developed as a optional/upgradable parts. It is recommended to use the new spindle design if you are choosing to run it as a stretch kit using 750mm blades or bigger.

Hope that gives you some insight.

Tony

All the kits that are purchased now have the new owb. The original spindle is discontinued and will no longer be available as the new style will be in the stretch kit and is also available now. Charley did this so there was no mistakes when ordering a new spindle for those who will run 753s.

Hope this helps,

Ryan S.
