and people like you will never listen to facts because you are too closed minded, just like a liberal.

PyhcoZ...being that you are a liberal, I guess you are correct.

And as for marijuana being addictive, you are 100% wrong there.

Just as with alcohol, it can become VERY ADDICTIVE. Get YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU START SPOUTING FECAL MATTER FROM YOUR CLOSED MINDED, HATE FILLED LIBERAL LIPS.

Smoking weed responsibly is many times safer than drinking alcohol. It's really not physically addictive like alcohol.

What should have been said is that smoking MJ and drinking alcohol should not be done in excessive amounts....or they both can become harmful and addictive.

You guys believe what you want. I have seen my friends damaged by both. Maybe MJ shouldn't be categorized with the harder drugs, but it is dangerous. Just like Alcohol. THIS is what we should be teaching our children, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

sjgusmc21,
Been reading this thread and your VERY clueless...You don't get hooked on pot ..Its not a human made drug, its a herb with no added crap that makes people rob, kill, die or get hooked on <-Thats a fact ..You also don't see pot heads needing NA like you do drunks that need AA and thats because you'll get hooked on alcohol way before pot..
Just so you know how much you "think" you know about pot,its been 100% legal here in Michigan for years along with other states..Not by the Feds which will happen soon but its already passed through state laws so Federal will soon fall in place..
Do you smoke cigaretts? If so,thats 50000X more addictive than pot and its a proven fact..Your making something out of nothing..

BTW,
If you don't think its legal,go to Craigslist and search marijuana LOL...

Blade strike, I enjoyed your post except for the clueless part. Have you been trained or educated as a Substance Abuse Counselor? Didn't think so. Clueless? Hardly, but think what you might. I will be 50 soon, and believe me it wasn't so easy for me either...

I really don't care if it is legal or not. Don't care if crack is legal in your state. You want it there, fine, just keep it away from where I live and my family.

Do I smoke cigarettes? I did, for 20 years and quit. Have I smoked pot? Yap. Did I like it? Nope. I have tried cocaine? Yes, once as well. Most amazing crap I have ever had in my life...that's why I never touched it again. DO I drink? Nope, not anymore. Probably drank enough booze to float the Titanic...waiting for my liver to jump out and hide from me. So, yes I am speaking from experience, my own and my friends as well.

Nothing good will ever come from legalizing MJ. Nothing.

Just a larger population of the weak and dependent - With a plethora of exits, excuses, or some type of plan or reason.

Then it becomes some one else s responsibility - the society as a whole to cope with the effects.

Plenty of cities to observe as samples -Crime out of control chasing the cash.

Not falling for the disrespectfull comments,sorry..As for the part I quoted, seems you need to research on this because its been legal in many states for years now..Guess what?Nothing changed at all...
Marijuana has been around longer than ANY drug so what bad has ever come from it?Billions of people smoke it to date and I have NEVER seen anything bad happen to the smoker or to others and again, its been legal for years now..
I could care less if they turn around and ban it..Its just odd how you make something thats been around 4X longer than any of us and has been used for hundreds of years sound bad like the world will end..It was legal years ago and nothing bad has ever happend so what makes you think that will change??

Nothing good will come from the legalization? how bout the fact that the millions of good, honest and hard working Americans that smoke won't be labeled hard criminals any more for something not even as dangerous as alcohol.

The illegal status of alcohol caused the crime and violence.

Plenty of things in life are like that, should they all be banned. Marijuana is not physically addictive, and that is the truth. You can not ban stuff because it is mentally addictive, if you did that then there would be nothing left to do.

Coffee is physically addictive but that is not banned, just like alcohol and cigarettes just to name a few.

"Anyone ever killed smoking pot"???

I believe I recall a shooting at a "pot" rally in CO very recently..kind of ironic isn't it..you can buy pot, but guns are illegal..

There should be barrels of free MJ on each street corner, right next to free barrels of guns. You can't regulate morality, nor can you define someone else morality for them....only your own, and what you know to be right and wrong....Those that will will, those that don't want...it would kill the MJ drug trade overnight, and more than likely, save lives.

I don't smoke it and don't hang around those that do..not a judgment on them, I just don't want to hang around a bunch of people stones out of their minds, eating junk food, saying "dude" to one another..

Seriously you would all be surprised how many people you know who smoke and you never knew it. Pot is pretty much harmless. All this bs about being stoned out of their minds. Like any other drug including caffeine, nicotine, alcohol etc, it's a personal responsibility. Pot is a simple weed that grows naturally. Who the hell does this gov think it is that they think they can outlaw mother nature?

Yes, of course people have died because of pot.

Another clueless post. I suppose everyone that drinks alcohol is fat, drives drunk and beats their significant other.
