VBar 1 Channel Nitro Gov and Banked Switching Idiot Guide request
Hi Guys,
Can anyone guide me on this.....

My set up (briefly)
Trex 700N YS 120 (8-1 gearing)
JR 9303 DSMX
V Bar Siverline 5.3 with 2 x DSMX sats.

The story so far - All running good (eventually!)with nitro gov on 2 channel set up using the 9503 gov settings to change head speed, Bank 0 in all flight modes

What I want to do
I would like to use my F/M switch for bank switching, I realise that I would only have 3 Banks no problem I only want a spool up on Bank 0 and two FM settings Banks 1 and 2

I also want to use the 1 channel gov set up.

Can someone chime in with a Throttle curve to give me a spool up with the 1 channel gov set up and T/Hold and a really simple 'How to' for the banked switching as I have described

I understand that I flat line the Throttle cure in FM1 and FM2 as a % of my head speed max set (2100) But the spool up settings in FM N is frying my brain
I have looked at Mr Mels vids and they all seem to be Futaba and hence they are not that clear for a Spectrum /JR set up with the Vbar and sats
I'm sure that I am not the only one struggling with this.
Thanks
Nick

Don't hate me, but I don't think you can.

You would have to switch to futaba to pull that one off.

Yes, I have the 9303 and VBar and it works just fine. In the VBar Receiver setup check the following channel assignments:
ESC/Throttle = 1
Aux/Gyro = 7 - This controls the bank switching
Aux 2 = 5 - This controls the governor

In the "Transm." setup tab check that the end points are correct and controls the correct channel.

Setup your radio such that channel 7 is linked to "FlightMode". This way you can control all 4 bank if you so choose. I do not recall from the top of my head exactly how you do it in the setup menu (hold Ent down while powering on the TX) but refer to the user manual for the details on that. Also ensure that the governor is linked to channel 5.

You use the Gyro gain menu to set the different outputs for the bank switching which is divided into four ranges 0-25%, 25-50%, 50-75% and 75-100%. Set your Gyro gain output to e.g. 10%, 35%, 65% and 90% for banks 0 through 3.

In the TX governor menu you control the RPM setting. You can read the RPM set point on the VBar software when connected to the VBar.

Much of the TX setup is from memory so there may be some inaccuracies but I hope this helps.

I use governor mode "Nitro with 2 Channels" so I set the governed speed to 0 for Normal and of course Throttle Hold using the governor menu.

If you use "Nitro Combined mode" then you set a separate throttle curve for each flight mode and use them to adjust the head speed. Remember that 0 to 50% is ungoverned and 50% to 100% is governor controlled so for Normal mode you would start at 0% and full power at 50%. For Idle up 1 and 2 you would choose a flat line with the the appropriate value e.g. 92% and 100% if you are using two different head speeds.
