Trex 450 head parts in air!
Parted!!! Blades, grips, spindle, even paddles are gone. The flybar snapped off on the last thread at the paddles. Well just how far do y'all think blades can fly with grips and spindle on one? I've walked 75-100 yards all over and have not found one piece yet. Glad I was above head high, saying that....I was around 30' up. Been doing some stunts nothing hard.... Think it's time to retire this one and go with something newer maybe a 500 or bigger. I'd like to have the warp 360. Just another reason not to fly close in!!! BTW I checked the heli out very good before I flew and nothing loose and no vibration either. Not sure what happened.

I'm figuring that was what happened. First for me. Hate it because it was my fly at work heli. Now boredom has settled in. That thing has been in the dirt many times I think it's time for a new bird. There is no such thing as up, it's all out...

I've had the same happen. But I forgot to locktite one of the spindle bolts. I only know this because when I found the grip/blade, the spindle bolt was still in the grip. It was clean as a whistle

Part of my 450 preflight is pulling and pushing on the grips to see if the spindle bolts have backed out.

People always say use blue loc-tite but this is why I always say red..I had the bolt come loose on my 450PRO and 600LE nitro twice. After that,I always used red...Them bolts will always get red loc-tite,not trying to get blasted by a blade or blast someone else.....
Very sorry to hear this ...

Well found the blades, one 25yrds and the other 10yrds away. Looks like it won't get retired just yet. And I didn't use Locktite on one side, my bad. Be back going soon. Was an interesting lesson. There is no such thing as up, it's all out...
