So what do we think of these servos with the huge heat sinks on them. Do we say, "Wow these things make so much power they need cooling help". Or, do we look at a servo like that and say "wow, what an inefficient design to need a huge heat sink link that"?

It's a cool looking servo for sure. I have not looked up the spcks. But being it has the metal case, some of the cutaway may shave a few grams off the weight, and cool it a little extra.
