Programming the governor CGY 750
I have a MA Whiplash gas with a CGY 750. Never used gov before (used throttle curves)and trying to set it up. The radio is a Futaba 14mz, the 750 is running software version 1.31. The head speed is set in the radio and I've got the gear ratio set at 6.92
First question. Do you recommend having separate switch or on the throttle stick? Does it matter.
After set up,how do you confirm that gov is working on the bench? The manual says that gov doesn't work unless motor is running.

the 750 will work good using the thorttle stick or a switch I use the separte switch just because when I turn the GOV on by a switch I can hear the engine rev up if the throttle curve is set low a 0 stick as far as the GOV working on the bench your not going to see the thorttle move but on the main screen on the 750 after it initialize you'll see the gains and just below that you'll see GOV ON or OFF so if you have it set up right you can go thourght your idle up switch and thorttle stick or switch and you'll see GOV on or off on the screen and I have a 14MZ/Whiplash gasser too so if you need more info it would be best if you call me and I can go step by step with you

Thanks. I'm going to try to set it up on Friday. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ok. I got the governor set up and working. The problem now seems to b over speeding. The set up is this. The motor is a modified Zenoah 260 with s stator gator. The stator gator is connected correctly(confirmed this with Chris of Stator gator). The radio is a Futaba 14mz with an S-bus receiver. The receiver and 750 are powered using a LiFe battery. The rpm is thru channel 7 and the governor is on channel 8. It's controlled by the throttle. The gear ratio is set at 6.89(the pinion is 18 tooth and the main gear is 124). The governor is set for 1700, 1750, and 1800. The head was tached at 2200 after engagement of the governor. The governor is set to read the head rpm but at idle the max rpm is 1300.

Ant suggestions would be appreciated
